Another wasted bullpen spot on a washed dude with control problems and no success. Yeah, good idea, not.

I think he Lewis is faster and better athlete than he get's credit for. Keaschall doesn't have the arm for outfield role due to past shoulder or arm injury. If Clemens can play back up CF, certainly Lewis can with his previous more recent experience in that place than Clemens, I would say they are at least equal in foot speed, but Lewis has more experience reading ball off the bat. (I kniw the injury history). We are better on defense with Clemens at 1st or 2nd base overall. Versatility is the name of the game, when you have injury's continue to happen and pile up. I think Royce is willing to help the Twins in any role they just about give him, just make him have fun, and when you see the smile you know he is having fun playing baseball. I still think there is un-tapped potential in Royce Lewis. He has always been a good ambassador and good with young Twins fans, gracious with his tine. I believe Royce can still have a good outcome with Twins and help. Outman is so late on his swings, and strikes out a lot, beyond late inning pinch running(only useful spot), doesn't have a good arm due to past injury.

Well said Stringer Bell, concur with all of what is said here.

Royce Lewis is hitting well at AAA. Why don't the Twins see if he will play some LF or CF. The only thing James Outman does is run faster. Lewis has a better bat, with more HR potential. Seems like he has fun playing again, is being a good teammate, and making the plays in the field. Of the two that were sent down, Lewis is playing well, much better than Wallner.

Takes a player with Martin's speed to make that play, but agreed good slide.

Joe Ryan tends to melt down when defensive errors like the one made by Keaschall happen. Luke sure screws up on defense with little to know reprimands like a benching.

Prophetic, Patzky. That was quite a poke by Gray.

He did run it out hard.

I'm serious would much rather have Royce Lewis in outfield than Clemens. Clemens best positions are 2nd base and 1st base, he isn't an outfielder.

Barrerio and Gaard were asking this question to Twins fans today on KFAN. What the hell is the Twins plan and what is ownership doing to make the Twins more competitive by gutting payroll and still playong abunch of old and 4AAA level players. . 20 years after the New stadium Target Field was approved. We heard for a decade from the Pohlads in the 1990's we needed a new stadium to be competitive and compete for a championship. Here we are in the year 2026 and Twins roster is full of guys getting at bats or playing every day that will not be here in 1 to 2 years. Barriero was asking what in heck is the actual discernible plan to develop players and be competitive team in the next 2 to 3 years. From what I can Jeremy Zoll and Tom Pohlad have no recognizable plan on the baseball diamond. I mean we're not doing extension's with Joe Ryan or Ryan Jeffers. Were not seeing the Twins turn to some of the younger players in St Paul. We all kniw injury's have played a role but this roster as constructed makes no sense. Dan on KFANeven questioned why Shelton was waxing nostalgic about all the Pirates young pitching and they have 8 more guys in the pipeline. Look at the White Sox they have sucked for better part of four years but they actually look like they give a crap and are developing players. Twins have been stuck in mediocre stinking land with the exception of 2023 for better part of 5 years. Seems to fit with the current five game losing streak. We all know there could be a lock out next year, but that is not guaranteed. At what point do the Twins pivot and try a new approach? What incentive other than liking baseball do we have to buy a ticket to Target Field? Does make a Twins fan wonder what is happening. KFAN was talking about this then they flipped to Siefert and Vikings football.

What line to see Twins promote a couple of the better Cedar Rapids prospects in Houston and Tait to SA Whicita. Time of year we should start seeing prodpects earn additional promotions and be challenged at the next level.

Most likely right, should have took the money they gave Caratini and Bell and signed Ryan O'hearn.

I like Josh Bell and Orlando Arcia but I would try and flip them now, when both are hitting because they are on one year deals. This is not a playoff team.

Yep, Twins are basement dwellers, regardless of how hard they try or compete. A lot of un-competitive plate appearances this weekend. Pitching and defense really let them down though as much as hitting. Hard to judge major league staff and Shelton even though I don't like the current roster. There is a real lack of MLB talent on Twins. They need to try some different people, and clear out some players, not performing well, the current mix is poor.

Lack of pitching depth, and Twins DFA SWR, make it make some sense. Zoll has no recognizable plan, that makes sense. Already sent John Klein back to the minors, so seems like a knee jerk reaction rather than strategic plan. This franchise is in desperate need of good talent evaluators, scouts, and strong baseball background leaders.

I know he doesn't get a lot of opportunity, but Outmans swings are late on everything. Larnach is listless, and lost cause just like Wallner, not gonna do it here.

This team is being run by ownership that cannot pick good leaders in clubhouse or front office. Twins have not drafted well in nearly 7 or 8 years already. For a franchise that needs to develop talent it is a death spiral of losing. Who would think 2023 was the high water mark for the decade.

This whole season started with a black cloud when Pablo Lopez hurt his elbow in Spring training all these starting pitching injury's piling up effect bullpen, defense all of it. Ready to start seeing some of what the younger guy's in rhe Saints have to offer. Even if they are not fully ready. Nice inning by Matthews in the 4th.

Man Larnach does not want to be with Twins any longer. It shows at the plate. He's wasn't staring at so many hittable pitches last year and just watching them go by.

Agreed. Pittsburgh and Chicago White Sox have been drafting at the top of the draft for a long time. It should eventually pay off for them with right manager and staff, development staff. Kind of like San Antonio Spurs in NBA, they have accumulated promising young talent.

I can see that 100% but the Pohlads keep people like Falvey around to the point of excess or staleness. Once Lavine left, they should have overhauled Front office and scouting. Joe Pohlad was a meddler behind the scenes, with limited baseball knowledge. Sounds like Tom at least try's to let people do jobs without micromanaging. All the injury's suck but even fans knew this is a poorly constructed roster, lacks depth, to start the season even. Twins didn't do much if anything to supplement the roster and that is 100% on ownership.

My issue is still losing all these games with fringe MLB players an 4A guys. There is no development happening with key prospects being hurt, or being kept in the minor leagues for service tine. Twins ownership the Pohlads are notorious for keeping service time clocks in check, and controlling players as long as possible at minimum salary's. There is littlr to zero value on rostering MLB players like Alex Jackson and James Outman. They are not enough of difference makers even in 25th to 26th spots. I get all owners do the control thing, but Twins do it to the point of excess, and guys get stale playong AAA ball for longer than sometimes they should. They also hang on to guys beyond the point of redemption.

I don't think he ever played it College or High School. He Larnach has always been an outfielder. Don't think Larnach even tried it in Twins minor league system.

Agreed, the front office and ownership need replacing.

Example 1,000 why the Pohlads need to sell the Twins. This franchise needs new leadership from ownership to front office to minor leagues.
