Hey I get it. I don't have to be as much of a homer though, but I have no problem with that. I didn't say they didn't try. I considered all that you mentioned. All that started and played did the best they could. To compete we just need more that can do better, or play the ones that are doing better at the time. It could have been managed to compete. Whoopee. 6 innings. 6 innings of poor pitching that doesn't give his team a chance to win is encouraging? Not to me. To think I am being offensive, is just silly, if not offensive. I am lamenting.

It is like this game was played and managed to not compete from the get go. I hate that. If anybody needed to sit out it was Gonzalez. And a turtle in right field? Not holes, but 3 craters in the lineup with Adrianza, Gonzalez and Castro. Casto not so bad.... OBP and OPS not bad, I guess. I hate games like this. They all matter.

It is like this game was played and managed to not compete from the get go. That is a real F U to the fans.

I hope not. If it would have been up to me, he never would have been around. Besides, he is already round enough.

When I read all those bigraphies as a kid growing up in the sixties.... they all started, or many, and big stars of the time, too.... young 20-21-22.... and played for 20 years many of them, into their early 40's.

i will not be deterred. I know a lot of people with poor taste.

    Humor is so outrageous.

I wish Castro would quit having Stewart throw the ball so far off the plate.
  9. h2oface
Castro's fault. He calls the game.
  10. h2oface
Cron looks a lot like Buxton swinging at those sliders. He is right handed and playing against Verlander. He doesn't get tired. 29 year olds are tough.

25 year old athletes in the best shape of their life...... need lots of rest.

4 seamer right down the middle to Cruz. No homer, no mistake.

Time to get to another CY Young winner!

I've seen a lot of games Berrios pitched that he has given up 3 runs by the end of the 3rd. Somehow this doesn't feel the same.
  15. h2oface
But you always hear from the pitchers..... or the managers.... "I liked how I pitched. I only made those two mistakes. The rest was just great...." And no.... only speeding if you get ticketed. The rest is driving with the others in the flow.
  16. h2oface
So..... is it a mistake if the batters (Cron and Gonzalez) don't get a hit? Or only a mistake if they take it out of the park (Correa)?
  17. h2oface
Verlander going right down the middle to get both Cron and Gonzalez.
  18. h2oface
Adrianza, Gonzalez, and Castro (three monstrous holes in the lineup) - no Buxton in center and the turtle in right - against Verlander in support of Stewart. Not enough that Stewart has to pitch against the Houston lineup, eh? Good Luck, Kohl. You will need it.

Cut Cave because we need reduncy of Adrianza, Gonzalez, and Astudillo. Two of them don't hit, and Adriazna is just pathetic now, not even hitting .150! It is pretty hard to be hitting worse than Gonzalez right now (.177). Hell, even Chris Davis is up to .155 now.

Like Duffey...... AAA ball is not the same as the show. Plus, Romero is the future and can work with Wes.
  21. h2oface
I guess I should clarify.... Royce... Royce Lewis, not Lewis Thorpe.
  22. h2oface
Lewis not looking too elite so far in his return to High A ball this season.
  23. h2oface
I just remember seeing him throw from 3rd a couple times and bouncing it twice to get there..... late then. Like Revere used to do from center.... even to second base.
  24. h2oface
No biggy. One game. Win tomorrow and wasted words. Look at Duffey's ERA. Like Harper and Hildenberger, it looks pretty good. Looks. I watched the games. 4 unearned and he looks good on paper.
  25. h2oface
Gonzalez has been pathetic. I was a big supporter to get him. Plus, his arm is like Ben Revere. Adrianza has been as bad. I am really looking forward to see ho Sano can do.
