    So Mauer can't play 3 straight games in the field? Unbelievable....

    I am fine with Pintos role being the backup catcher and pinch hitter. Gardy can't be afraid to pinch hit Pinto as often as possible. If Zuke gets injuried Mauer can squat for 1-3 innings. And that may never happen. How often a season is an emergency catcher used? Barely ever.

    Over on the Pittsburgh game- liriano made it through 6 innings with no earned runs and 10 Ks. Good to see. I'm sadden it didn't happen here but I'm glad he was able to figure it out (and not in LA, NY or BOS).

    I'm proud they decided to let Colabello start this one against a lefty. This may show that they will truly platoon Kubel and Chris.
