Let me help you out here, I know it's difficult.

    I'm all for it.

Castro VP > Carroll VP (VP = veteran presence)

    Excellent news.

Name them, and the four starters better than him on those teams.

About the equivalent of a week's worth of at-bats.

And if we do this for every lousy player on the roster, it adds up to a putrid, unwatchable team.

Colby Lewis had ligament surgery in his elbow a couple months ago.

Prior to this season Drew was roughly a league average hitter, that's pretty good for a shortstop.

If *insert player of choice* can improve both offensively and defensively, they could be an everyday player.

I ran a query on BRef the other day, there have been 4,058 position players since 1900 that have been given 500+ plate appearances. Butera's OPS+ ranks 4,053rd.

    And installed some fence posts.

Installing fence posts > watching the Twins > Jeff Gray

Please play well Herrmsie, the Twins need any excuse they can to get rid of Butera. Please, for the sake of our sanity and all that's good and holy in this world, play well enough to convince the Twins that Butera can finally get DFA'd for good.

LOL @ Beckham nearly ****ing up a 6 foot toss to 2nd. That would have made my night.
  16. snepp
Way to go, look what you've done now.
  17. snepp
Yes they lose the series, or yes they win it?

Matt Capps at 2.5 is still ****. You don't need to pay for his kind of mediocrity when you can get it for a little bit of nothing. Every dollar you spend over the minimum on him is a dollar that could be better spent elsewhere.

    Same time stamp!

Too much time spent watching the Twins staff.

    Yeesh.

Curtis Granderson is one of the league's good guys, he's pretty tough to dislike.

I'm going to stick with the idea that you don't get in hurry to deal Morneau this offseason until you either a.) absolutely need the budget room, which means you've signed a big time pitcher, or b.) get an offer you simply can't refuse. But I don't think either of those things are going to happen.

As long as you have less than 6 years of service time, you're at the mercy of the team. He'll end the season with a little over 5 years of service time.
