  1. Well….. that was something. Getting closer to dropping MLB, unless some young blood is injected to the lineup pretty soon.
  2. What a luxury to have a designated closer. Another poor defensive game that leads to the loss….. and not the best pitching either. The lost ball in the sun, led to five extra runs. Probably a different game if that is caught.
  3. My issue wasn’t the first ball, thought the second one was a terrible jump and the sun wasn’t a issue… however it’s a new game and a win makes everything better. If they had 9 KC’s on the field they might have something.
  4. Opposing pitchers can just throw first pitch garbage, the swing and miss rate has to be around 90%
  5. My fear is that they will fall so far out of the WC race that they will keep many of the guys that could help down until September. Afraid this thing is ready to implode, already looking lifeless and disengaged.
  6. Another misplay by Larnach…. Probably the worst outfield in baseball …. even more depressing is what we have developed in the minors…. is there anyone that can play some defense.
  7. The .500 talk can probably stop. We are who we thought they were.
  8. Shelton should probably decide who his best 2-3 relievers are and be using them at the end of a close game. Rodgers isn’t one of them. We are a 1/3 into the season, it’s time to decide on a closer, maybe two. At this point Banda clearly is better than Rodgers and Gomez has looked serviceable.
  9. Watching a lineup that includes Arcia, Gray and Bell starting isn’t particularly appealing. . None of these three are part of the future, none provide any meaningful value right now and none of them make we want to drive 4 hours to watch a home game. If anyone can explain the philosophy of this front office I would love to hear the strategy behind this roster construction….
  10. If, and it’s always a question when transitioning from the minors to the majors, Cullpepper’s play translates there is no need for Houston at SS, unless you are manipulating team control for several years. The odds are both won’t be successful, if they are it’s a good problem to have, whether in trade value or plugging another infield hole.
  11. Frauds…. to me, in the sense I began to believe that they could hang in the WC hunt until the AS game.
  12. We’re frauds, only reason we are only 4 under.500 is the AL sucks
  13. That Ckemens guy has value… great throw to the plate, inside and down…. anywhere else he doesn’t get the tag in time.
  14. The throw was fine, it took him away from the runner and should have been an easy turn.
  15. Good throw from Gray… a big leaguer dropping a perfect throw = really bad defense, really really bad defense that loses ball games
  16. These batters do realize we’re only up 1…. some terrible AB’s the past 5 innings.
  17. That a boy LK, nice hustle. It’s uncanny how you say something a little negative and they show you how little you know.
  18. Keaschall seems to have zero idea of his strike zone, swinging at really bad pitches and worse putting a lot of them in play. I can say I didn’t see this coming after last season. The scouts found something during the offseason.
  19. Our catchers have a difficult time putting the ball anywhere near where it needs to be on these stolen bases.
  20. On a positive note, SWR and Orze are not available.
