  1. This ain’t AAA pitching!… but he held there…. call me surprised.
  2. They have lost too many games when given up 3 or fewer runs… wanna say it’s 8 or 9. Seems like Ryan is the one on the losing end way too often.
  3. This guy reminds me a lot of Bradley, good velocity and ball movement…. however not much command of the zone. Helping him out by swinging at some of these pitches is making hitting more difficult than it should be.
  4. A give me DP… Royce has a lot of work to do. Those are the kind of plays that force the pitchers into extra pitches, possibly runs that shouldn’t happen…. and they show up as earned. We need a better philosophy on defense.
  5. We have way of making mediocre pitchers look really good… maybe the second time thru, as been said many times, Molitor is awesome.
  6. Nice jump on that ball from Larnach, his defense is better this season.
  7. Same old Royce…. no clue of his strike zone, 3 pitches 3 swings
  8. 100%, the defense have done him and the entirepitching staff no favors. They struggle at times to make routine plays, difficult plays are rare and a catcher throwing out a base runner is near extinction. Balls hit in play that should be outs and aren't made extend innings, pitch counts, lead to runs that are earned that can lead to losses that should be wins.... and despite the poor defense they are somehow only 5 games under .500, need to win these home series, playing solid defense helps, although they are who they are at this point. A Cullpeper call up would help... a lot.
  9. The defense has been really, really bad. So many plays that should be made that aren’t and are scored as hits. Extra outs, extra pitches, earned runs that shouldn’t be, losses that should be wins…. last night was one of many on the season. I can tolerate a lot of things as the team tries to improve and get to a point where they are consistent…. too many games where it’s tough to watch their inept fielding… giving away games because of it. It’s time to find these guys their position and stick with it. If they can’t field they should be an above average hitter….too many guys on this roster that can’t do either. Ok that’s the rant for the week…on to Apple TV.
  10. No way Wallner runs that ball down…. unless he can play first I would prefer the trade route.
  11. We need a damn flow chart on when guys can challenge these calls…. zero reason there for Martin to do it in that situation
  12. Almost feel bad for Outnan…. but I can’t. Not sure what the FO saw and continues to see in him. It just shows what a difference AAA pitching is, even he could light it up down there.
  13. I know exactly what you meant… it’s June 4th and the big FA signing for 1st sits more than he plays…. it’s been like this for wayy to long.
  14. I would think so, dealing with this roster could lead a person to drink.
  15. No, No they don’t. Clemens can hold his own defensively however.
  16. Holy crap…. Shelton has quite the stash of booze in his office…. i can get on board with that!
  17. Outman starting right where he left off, another wasted roster spot.
  18. Nice play by Clemens, still the defense is terrible…. know a bunt is coming and still can’t get an out, the WP went of his glove, unless he called for off speed you have to handle that pitch. Zero errors, but not making plays is just as important.
  19. Throw strikes, just cannot walk the leadoff man, didn’t work out two innings ago.
  20. I swear I didn’t see your post as I was writing my take on Morneau… spooky
  21. It’s hard to believe Morneau was a MLB player…. and a damn good one… however some of his takes on defensive plays, swings at pitches above the shoulders are absurd.
