  1. May is really the only arm I miss. Nobody is mourning the loss of Romo. Nobody. Did you see that guy last year? How so obviously cooked he was? Wisler might be a one shot wonder, infact, he sure looks like one now. Clippard...would've been nice to bring back, but he isn't exactly young either.
  2. Burn the extra inning rule to the ground. But Chief is right. The bullpen has not looked like a championship quality bullpen. Colome right now reminds me of Romo, and that isn’t a good thing. I mean I can’t blame Rogers, because that run he gave up was an unER. But what was with the 0-2 pitch? 86mph? Where was the clutch hitting? Sano? You couldn’t knock ONE guy in? You watched an easily hit table pitch go by and walked back to the dugout? I want to see Rocco hold his players accountable for shtick like that. Also in extras, you can’t knock the runner on 2nd in in THREE tries? I mean I’m not going to give up on Colome yet but I’m worried he may be cooked. Not worried about Rogers. Worried about this team’s ability to “get it done” when things NEED to be done.
  3. I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.
  4. Welp, extra innings. I'll take the L
  5. I mean that's better than a strikeout so it's not nothing...
  6. Can this team "get it done" here? That's what we will see now.
  7. I don’t see why we can’t extend both Buxton and Berrios. Buxton probably ~20-25 Million and (at most) ~20ish Million for Berrios in the process. Could we raise payroll to ~160-170 Million?
  8. Watch him play. That’s why would should believe in him. If they trade him or let him walk, I won’t be happy. Trading him seems like something Cleveland would do. I don’t want to do that. That is how you end up with a long title drought. We probably should’ve extended him before the season NGL. Looks like his payday will be a lot more (~20-25 Million a year). Regardless, please extend him. He’s worth every penny
  9. We’ll need to continue to be hot like this for the next few weeks. It looks like it will be some time until we face a real opponent so we should pick up as many wins as we can.
  10. Too many of these quick one-two-three innings for the offense.
  11. Colome and Duffey have not looked sharp at all. If they can fix it up and be sharp (along with Robles and Rogers staying sharp) I’ll have a little more faith in this bullpen
  12. It’s mainly a few hitters that strike out a lot (Sano, Cave, Garver)
  13. Although I like that we got out of that...it seems like we’re playing down to our (inferior) competition (The Tigers). I’m not a fan of it. It will haunt us if we continue to do it.
  14. Am the only one slightly concerned about Maeda? I’ve seen a lot of hard contact off him today.
  15. I like to see us actually manufacturing runs and not just waiting for a HR.
  16. Exactly. It’s the offense’s fault they couldn’t do squat with runners at the corners and nobody out.
  17. Do tell how Rosario’s abscence impacted this game.
  18. The only thing that would is if it actually did just that.
  19. Tomorrow we will see what this offense is (inconsistency-wise). I’m not concerned about the ‘pen ultimately losing the game today. We obviously did not get it done with RISP today. That led to a pathetic offensive performance. And it’s not like Casey Mize or Fulmer or Soto are great pitchers or anything. Last year, we were inconsistent AF offensively, and there were stretches of 4 or 5 games where our offense would just be dead. This is one game. If we see a bad performance offensively once (one game) in a while that’s not a problem. That’s normal. I’m not concerned about the ‘pen losing the game. That was (once again) a product of the awful extra innings rule. Happ didn’t last long...that’s concerning, especially against Detroit. Look for the offense to bounce back tomorrow or not.
