I agree with that. It is pretty clear from the last couple of games that Correia has learned something about PITCHING (as opposed to throwing) over the years. He frustrates me terribly when there are 2 on in the first inning but at least lately, he has escaped. I think it comes down to the value of getting May/Meyer experience in MLB vs. trying to win this year. At this point (while they are still trying to win this year), keeping KC in the rotation makes sense as long as he pitches like he has the last couple of games. A month from now, this team may be in an entirely different place. "Contending" may seem hopeless. KC may have fallen apart again -- or he may have built good trade value. I just can't see doing anything with him now. In July??? Whole different story. And really, that would still be time to get May (and maybe Meyers) some time at the mlb level.
Sell. And I don't believe "anything can happen in the playoffs". I believe "anything can happen in the playoffs as long as you have good pitching". I don't think the Twins are there yet.
Thanks to you, your wife and TD for a great story. I didn't realize that they invited/accepted kids from outside the Dominican. Hopefully this makes a difference in the lives of all these kids -- even if they go home after one summer.
Re: May Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 52s Odd handling. RT @ThisisGregs: @MikeBerardino just pulled him with 1 out in the 9th, 1 run in, 2 on, 120 pitches
Seth Stohs @SethTweets 7m Five shutout, one-hit innings for Trevor May tonight. No walks. 5 strikeouts. He's up to 64 pitches so way he starts for Twins on Thursday.
Seth Stohs @SethTweets 37m Trevor May with 3 perfect innings so far tonight for Rochester. 26/34 pitches for strikes. Seth Stohs @SethTweets 34m Trevor May gave up a leadoff double to Mookie Betts to lead off the 4th inning. After the Betts double, May struck out Shane Victorino, got a line out by Will Middlebrooks and a flyout to end the inning.
Yes but we weren't in any danger from these -- bad storms north of us and south of us but we were in a kind of "dry slot". Just like we've been short on rain, apparently it also helps protect against storms.
Nothing like hours of tornado/storm coverage. I think most of it is going east of me. Big Big storms. Pray for those already hit and those in the paths of the storms. Sioux City metro looks like it could take a hit. http://www.starherald.com/news/regional_statewide/reports-pilger-nebraska-hit-by-tornado/article_d269c6c4-f5a3-11e3-95d0-001a4bcf887a.html (The video on the news was more dramatic -- this thing was huge -- supposedly leveled about 1/2 the town of 378 peeople).
