  1. Should have been a walk off HR for Dozier there
  2. This season is over if Perkins keeps pitching like this.
  3. What the **** are you thinking Glen? 3-0 count you just walk him. Guess he has decided to emulate the rest of this terrible bullpen.
  4. Guy looks terrible lately, what the hell has happened? 3-0 pitch and you serve up a meatball to Cruz? This is his 4th poor outing of his last 6 by my count. What is the issue?
  5. I know we all want May to take Pelfreys spot in the rotation like yesterday, but heading into the Blue Jays series, there is absolutely ZERO and I mean ZERO reason why the Twins should even contemplate sending Milone to the mound (or any non elite LHP) in that series. If May isn't ready I think you have to consider Graham, no? Because as much as I like what Milone has done for the twins this year, it would take a miracle for him not to give up 5+ to that lineup featuring all right handed mashers basically.
  6. yup. He was wild all inning it seemed.
  7. it definitely happened multiple times in the Barry bonds Giants years. Not that Rosario is bonds...but you get the point.
  8. Mauer does have like an .830 ops or something his last 40 games or so....
  9. The twins play a lot of crappy teams down the stretch including a ton against the AL central which is pretty weak besides the Royals at this point. They definitely should be expected to go at least .500 the rest of the way. The question is can they play another 7 over .500 the rest of the way to get to 87 wins.
  10. Actually Hunter hasn't been the better player by any amount excluding home runs and only home runs. Mauer also has been hitting very well the last 40 days, hunter not so much. And no, hunter hasn't been very good this year, he has been average at best, and even that is a stretch for the position he was signed to play.
  11. I usually hate PR, but in a low scoring game I don't mind PR for sano there. Also, hunter is not a good player anymore. He is straddling the 100 ops+ line and plays bad defense, that is pretty bad for a RF. Ideally Buxton comes back up strong and we have: Rosario LF Buxton CF and Hicks RF Or Arcia gets hot. Hunter just can't be counted on in most big situations anymore. Those two at bats with guys on third were just awful.
  12. more inportantly, still up for the 2nd wild card. 1 game up on Baltimore. 2 up on Toronto. I think we can hold off Baltimore regardless. Toronto we need all the help we can get...with that said....go royals!
  13. My whole family lives in Seattle and I spent Some of my high school years there. So the Mariners are my number 2 team and I have watched them wayyyyy to much, trust me, McClendon is an idiot and probably the worst manager in the game. But.....you aren't worried about the winning run in that situation, you are worried about the tying run. You want to get the win and get off the field. 2 outs, RHP on the mound who has been pretty awesome against righty batters, (12 k/9 overall I believe) you absolutely walk the lefty with pop to face the struggling right handed hitting Suzuki there. Even if Suzuki gets a hit its unlikely it's enough to bring Rosario home anyways....then your best RP decides to go all wild thing. Not much you can do.
  14. McClendon is an idiot, but walking Rosario was the right move by far. Rosario hits RHP very well and is "hot" as of late. Suzuki is a much better matchup for the closer, at some point you have to count on your closer to not throw a wild pitch,
  15. Why not? Twice up with 1 out, down 1 and a runner on third and two pitiful at bats. Fortunately he was bailed out both times by wild pitches
  16. I could be vey wrong, but I feel like Suzuki has been hitting not too shabby as of late, not world beating, but like not black hole either.
  17. it would have been 50/50 at worst, Rosario running on contact and is definitely getting sent.
  18. Hunter is worthless, time to put his old ass on waivers and call up arcia or buxton
  19. Derp Mauer is the 3rd best hitter on this team the last 40 games.
  20. 1 ****ing run in 17 innings vs the worst team in the AL. This team is toast
  21. 2-1 game 8th inning, thank Jesus the top of the order is due up, lord knows we don't have any PH for the bottom of the order since we need a 8 man bullpen featuring 4 guys the manager isn't comfortable bringing into high leverage situations.
