    If there are defensive concerns then this trade will never happen. Defensive concerns won't work with your fundamentally sound MN Twins.

    No one wants Vernon Wells and his bloated contract. They'll really have to eat some salary for someone to take him.

    Sure. Who do they trade? This is a huge problem. Twins depth in the org is so bad, they can't make a deal for a slugger like this.

    Angels need pitching now. Too bad they can't pry Correia away from the Twins for Trumbo. TRyan in the signing article on the Twins site, noted having a dozen wins was important and that they had a number of eyes on Correia. Those eyes ought to find another line of work.

    Then do something about it, Twins. Bin-diving and settling for the middle road will only keep them in the middle of the pack. Commit to winning. OR make it a youth movement. It's resulted in wasting the last couple years of some key players' careers. And it doesn't look like it's getting any better. All talk from this org the past couple of years. Want to win, embarrassed by losing, blah,blah,blah.

    Agreed. Apparently Sherman also noted the M's are talking to KC,and asking about Wil Myers, so MN is not in it alone.

    Right. That's why I said they SHOULD. But won't. Roberts will have to toil a 1/2 season in FM, then to NB for 1 1/2 years, on to Rochester, and debut as a 26 or 27 year old rook in the bigs, if he gets that far.

    Nate Roberts another 2 hit day in Az. His development, IMO, makes it more likely that a guy like Benson gets dealt in a multi-player deal, as mentioned by Goblin. Roberts should skip FM and start 2013 in AA; I think he's already proving he can handle that level.He's more complete in his abilities than anyone that played OF at the end of 2012 in FM.

    Roch will need pitchers, Twins will need help at some point in the season from the minors. Walters/ Dude give them a couple of decent AAA guys to help the Wings.

    Now if the Twins only got smart and got real middle infielders, and used either Flori or Esky as AAA filler/backups, like they really are.

    1 hit/1 walk in the first inning. Major damage in the 2nd inning. leadoff triple(hamilton possibly dive/miss?) K 4 straight singles/2 doubles/rbi groundout/groundout

    Gibson rocked Monday in Arizona. Gave up 7 hits/6R in the 2nd inning. Included were 2 doubles and a triple.

    Like the typo Next, the Twins drooped several players from their 40 man roster. Appropriate description for a collection of pitchers who contributed to a droopy season.

    I get a kick out of them still trying to get something out of the Johan trade. Day-oh-leese lost all his velocity moons ago, and they're still hoping something good happens.

    Use the bullpen of flame throwers to shut down games. Look at what that did for the Red this year, with a group of decent starters. Advance the College bullpen guys sooner than later.

    Wasted time trying to make him a starter. History is repeating itself in the minors with Summers/Boer,and am sure they'll waste time with a couple of hard throwers drafted this year,too.

    Nate Roberts' showing thus far in AZ Fall League bodes well for the team's outfield depth. Trades involving one or 2 in this "depth" need to happen.
