  1. maybe Romy Jimenez or Pimentel could get a look? Duffey or Chargois definitely. I don't think Walker would fare too well in the MWL yet.
  2. Jon Lester was claimed on waivers.. hopefully by the Twins even though i'd doubt it. What could the Twins do to make the trade? how's Lester's value these days?
  3. any Daniel Santana fans? i think he's having a good season, 7hrs in the FSL actually is decent pop. how's he supposed to be w/ the glove? I heard before that he's slick w/ a strong arm..think he's an organizational top 20 guy? Danny Rams can really hit lefties..
  4. Appel will probably have to sign ,but i think he may get injured this year. Stanford has a history of abusing arms.. There was also a pitcher before who kept getting drafted and not signing. I can't remember the name, there was an ESPN article on him a few years back maybe.. Harrison?.. then he ended up being a bust..
  5. Kharsten Whitson could also be the guy, but i'm all for best player available. Justin Williams an OF from Louisiana looks pretty impressive, corner of with a lot of pop. Then Austin Meadows and Clint Frazier could emerge as well.. Since it takes awhile for these guys to develop it won't matter what position they take.. good catcher prospects Jeremy Martinez and Zach Collins. Also SS Jan Hernandez could be the guy as well.. i love the draft..can't wait for it.
  6. Danny Ortiz has come back from the dead..He's been hitting again. Angel Morales one of my favorite prospects hit his 7th homer on the year. I hope the Twins can bring Morales back next year, and maybe test him at AA. Maybe he'll do better since he'll be further removed from his injury. Morales still has good defense and a strong throwing arm, still got some hope in him.
  7. Vitters and Jackson both have contact issues so they may struggle but maybe will get better when they see more major league pitching.. I think Rizzo will be good. I'd rather have Epstein or Hoyer run the Twins.. Cubs got some good talent in the minors. I think Javier Baez will be a star.. then Albert Almora and Jorge Soler should come along. Cubs do need more pitching though..
  8. Impressively Buxton's been perfect on stolen bases in the App League. Curious if the GCL coaches are more strict on sb than Etown.. It's going to be fun and see how Buxton develops. Like how he's not just a hacker so far and taking walks. He has a ton of potential, can only hope for a strong Twins line up in the future. Buxton, Hicks, Sano, Rosario, Kepler, and then some others.. would be cool for an all in house prospect team. Even though i think teams have to make trades for prospects..
  9. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/appy-league-review-minnesota-twins-prospects/ Mike Newman gives a mention of him, not that optimistic about his 2nd base skills. also describes him as a slap hitter. interestingly would like to convert him to a pitcher.. Kepler or Bubba Starling should have won the award.. not that it matters though.
  10. good to see the Twins tapping into almost every market. Mexico has had good prospects as of late.. one thing for sure is the Twins aren't slacking in this department.
  11. excited to see how Buxton will progress over the off-season and how he'll do at Low-A. then you've got other guys, Kepler could be really good. throw in Travis Harrison, Polanco, and some of the others. makes me keep coming back to these sites and reading milb.com box scores everyday..
  12. should give Herrmann a spot on the 40 and give him a September call-up to see where he would be at. he's probably more favored than Rivera and Towles.. Not to sure how he's at catcher, but haven't heard anything negative. He'd be a way better bench option than Butera..
  13. might as well give him a shot, looks like he could be a good bullpen option as well.. How about AJ Achter's season? Not a guy to get that excited about but could also be a serviceable guy..Another unsung hero right now is Stephen Wickens.. would like to see how he'll do next season
  14. Jorge Polanco should definitely be raising some eyebrows this season. He's hitting more than I imagined and he's doing well drawing walks and making contact. The power although won't ever be a big part of his game as it would seem, has been nice. 4HRs now and he's been getting plenty of doubles. When he was signed the reports said he was a slick defender who should be able to stay at short. If he develops like he's doing he could be a very good player. He should be in the top 20.
  15. would trying to break Hendriks in relief be a good idea? long reliever and spot starter.. would be more beneficial to the organization than Jeff Gray or Perdomo
  16. I'd like the Twins to do more bargain hunting as well.. maybe work out some trades. I'd like to see the Twins try and pry off a guy like Rick VandenHurk or sign(not sure his contract status..) VandenHurk has put up decent statlines and could be useful if given a shot.. I hope they bring back Baker..
  17. seems like he's a candidate for tj surgery down the line? maybe breaking down like Webb or Sheets? I'd like the Twins to try and sign him though if he's non-tendered. maybe they will get lucky and maybe Jurrjens just needs better str and conditioning.
  18. Kepler should get promoted soon, got to love what he's doing and his potential. He should definitely be a top 50-100 prospect in all of MLB.
  19. Also showing hit skills from both sides of the plate, would like to see him get a cup of coffee this season. Much more upside than both Span and Revere.
  20. On Ken Griffey Jr. Slugfest Otis Nixon could scale the baggy of the Dome so he's the best virtual twin
  21. Butch Huskey? he was hyped upon signing as a free agent and completely tanked.
  22. scott klingenback..
  23. didn't Becker fall out of favor? wasn't bad with the Twins though, was better than Chad Allen >.> guess i'm a 94' and up fan.. Loved the Pat Meares era..
  24. Warren Morris? I'm not sure what happened to him ,but the Twins released him right away. Matt Kinney, Scott Aldred, Chris Latham.. seems like this could be a mean thread and player "bashing".. gotta respect anyone that makes it to the majors though.
  25. If Hermsen knows how to win let him quarterback the Vikings
