  1. No one knows why the wheels came off the car when they did for Gardy, but most managers don't have such long runs of success before needing a rebuild. Unfortunately, the organization took the car to a terrible mechanic who made the problems with the car permanent. Whether or not Gardy has any blame for the one failed season, Gardy is not to blame for the team's long, deep dive. I hope Gardy is OK and will be with us for a long time. Given the timing, this may be just as much about the state of the Tigers as it is about Gardenhire's health.
  2. Honestly, I think the Twins were rattled more than other teams by what happened in Kenosha. Plus, and we have seen this for many years, the Twins lose more games when Buxton is not in the outfield. When the White Sox face the Twins again, it won't be the same Twins he saw recently.
  3. This is the perfect season for bullpen games. Kudos to the Twins for doing them.
  4. Berrios is probably the guy who will be around the longest and be good for the longest period of time, if that helps.
  5. There is a tennis league that does it too. Now that's REALLY jarring.
  6. The MLB app (and probably the website too) has a thing where you can click to add crowd noise to the stadium. The music between pitches allows you to have sounds you can interact with (and make louder by clapping or cheering with the music). If the stadium seems loud on broadcasts, it's not just that they are piping in crowd noise, it's that people at home are "cheering" along.
