  1. At this point, talking about tomorrow's lineup may be a whole heck of a lot more interesting.
  2. A lot depends on whether Robinson goes to the DL.
  3. In truth, I expect D, Santana is not far behind. Maybe only as far as Rochester.
  4. Well, how about that.
  5. Sounds like Arcia is 3-3 with a homer so far today. I feel multiple roster moves coming for the KC series, not even counting E. Santana.
  6. Yet another favorite series sitting in my library. And that episode featuring Prof. Lee Silver is also my favorite. Tough luck loss for May. Hope it doesn't cost him his job.
  7. Pete Conrad - "Whoopie! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but that's a long one for me."
  8. I'm blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night. Seriously, brilliant work. And a peculiar lineup.
  9. I think you'll find radiometric dating has a pretty solid foundation. http://paleobiology.si.edu/geotime/main/foundation_dating3.html This is why getting lunar samples was something of a big deal, scientifically speaking. The dates of earth sample, lunar sample, and meteoric samples agree. The age of the solar system is not just wild-ass guesswork. This is also a fun one: the age of the Universe. Welcome to WMAP. http://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/universe/uni_age.html
  10. When the going gets weird, the weird enter the rotation.
  11. Bishop Ussher's been dead 350 years, and uranium decay dating is pretty reliable, so I'd say anyone arguing for a young Earth is safely considered fringe. As far as climate change goes, even were humanity not the cause (and we are), we're still liable to be just as extinct either way, so we'd better come up with a plan, don't you think?
  12. I'm going to go pet my two GMO's, and be happy they don't have that instinctual need to rip my throat out.
  13. I loved that series. Had to buy it and digitize. Brrrrrrisco.
  14. By somebody with a fork sticking out of them, no doubt.
  15. Hey, in case the game starts really late here's something to stay up for. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-33313347
  16. So one more entry in the Frankenstein contest; this one is pretty obscure, and I doubt most of you have heard of this film. It was actually pretty good; not quite as faithful to Shelley as it claims, but still good. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein:_The_True_Story Michael Sarrazin.
  17. One pet to rule them all, One pet to find them. One pet to bring them all, And in the darkness bind them. In the land of Cincinnati, where the rain clouds lie.
  18. Shabani's story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3139679/Meet-Shabani-handsome-gorilla-raised-Australia-fame-Japan-women-flock-zoo-just-him.html Since I get all these ads here telling me about (very young) Asian women I should date it seemed appropriate.
  19. No, I really AM a gorilla. Ook, ook, bwahahaha! P.S. can you tell that two weeks of online training is driving me apesh** crazy?
  20. And while you put in Marty Feldman, I think you meant Peter Boyle:
  21. For my nickel, any definition of life we think up is going to have to deal with something from a completely separate evolutionary chain. Maybe Titan, or Europa, or something still not found beneath the Martian surface, will provide that. Until then, we're just guessing.
