  1. If he weren't busy pitching today, I would send Kevin Correia up to Grand Forks to help. He seems to be able to stay calm in a crisis situation.
  2. From this same page: "Introducing the Yogurt Tampon" Yogurt and Yeast Infections - YouBeauty.com
  3. How much can a SWAT team cost if it's a couple of guys on tractors?
  4. He's thrown someone out already in the series, right? Looks like the Rangers are at least capable of learning.
  5. Ridiculously athletic (held HS freshman record for pole vault). Ridiculously smart (4.0 GPA). I know she was getting some ugly stuff from internet pervs, but some of us just look at her in a fatherly way - my daughter kind of fits the same profile (he says adoringly) even if not quite at the same extreme in every way.
  6. True. I'm done with those jokes. Was already regretting the last one, though I did self-censor and made it a lawnmower instead of a chainsaw.
  7. You should go over there and help out. "Hey man, if you come out and give yourself up, I'll return the lawnmower I borrowed from you last summer."
  8. Where's your website? Or you should start a twitter feed.
  9. A third out at third base, by a speedy runner who should be able to score from second on a later single, ought to be exceedingly close.
  10. Any better recommendation for us to monitor?
  11. That first one does sound bad, and I would hope Gardy took normal action, either a pointed comment after the inning or a lengthier discussion after the game; maybe DHing in favor of Arcia is positioned to him as part of the consequence. I'm less worried about the second situation you mentioned unless management believed it actually cost a base; again maybe a dose of Gardy's patented sarcasm was applied and the matter put behind them. Something to keep tabs on, though.
  12. Reported to the moderators. No grounds to ever be *that* insulting.
  13. Moreland then got thrown out? Is this the second or third baserunning oopsie by the Rangers in this series? There's aggressive, and then there's wasting baserunners.
  14. Forgot your remote location. Checking WDAZ now. Ah, I see they have a news flash about some disturbance at the Boston Marathon...
  15. Haven't found any breaking stories on Startribune.com or WCCO, but I'll keep browsing. Stand by the window and wave in case a camera is taking an establishing photo.
  16. If I were manager I would have to convince myself one way or the other, but as an outsider I simply go back to giving the benefit of the doubt. If the doctor has told you as a player, "one bad dive and you're finished", and you are forced to be ultra careful about not letting balls get by you yet staying on your feet, then you let some drop that another player would try for. If that's loafing, well, we need a pair of words to cover both this and what I consider the usual meaning.
  17. That was a quick inning. Blink and you miss it. 21 pitches, 6 batters down.
  18. I've got the avatar up for luck, but I caution all to not succumb to this feeling of good omens. KC will dodge and feint, but the opponent will always get some licks in and sometimes many.
  19. R. Clyde Gardenhire's VIP Kennel Services, would be my guess.
  20. Has he been channeling Aaron Hicks? I'm with you on the age thing. Give any player a season or maybe even two to mess up and learn from; coaches' input, more than stats, should rule. Around season three, comparing batting stats and age and league level starts to matter. By age 26 or so, no more scholarships - either he produces or he's gone. For college players making the transition to pros, this gives a short window. For high school age guys coming in, there's a very long period where it may not be clear whether he is worth a 40-man spot or not.
  21. Why in the world was Hammer moving on the pitch? For a guy who will not dive on defense (and I give him all the benefit of the doubt in the world given his back troubles), this seems as ill-conceived as if Morneau suddenly started doing LNP dives into first.
  22. You do have to play it enough so that certain routine operations become rote. Which can become a circular argument, if you don't quite reach that threshold.
