  1. ... repeatedly, for as long as it takes.
  2. As it happens, I came downstairs to the keyboard carrying an ice cream cone. Dreyers "S'mores" flavor. And a beer. Can't help it, I'm a man of eclectic tastes. / almost typed ex-lax tastes
  3. Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.
  4. Chuck Norris. It has always been Chuck Norris. According to The Official List of the Best Things in Existence - Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia
  5. It's been said that Parm has been getting beat on good major league fastballs, so it seems like the same advice that's worked for Dozier ought to help him too.
  6. Nope. I've seen a few articles/slideshows that speculate on needs versus prospects to offer, but that's just making stuff up. My impression (can't show my work) is that the Twins typically don't let much information leak out before a trade occurs.
  7. Moderator's note: too often the moderators have to speak up when a thread is going sour, and I just want to speak up here to say that I was fairly blown away by this gracious response. And it would not have been possible without the temperate rebuttal to which you responded. Kudos all around. I may hold this instance up as a model for others. Of course, not every rebuttal is going to convince. But the odds increase, to maybe 5% instead of zero, when you state your case with respect. Here endeth the sermon.
  8. Pitching is all about messing up a hitter's timing. Is there anything in the description of "clicks" that is different, that could somehow be uniquely exploited by a pitcher who knows this is how a batter is approaching things?
  9. 8.0 innings to find the inflator bulb?
  10. Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more.
  11. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how two bad teams settle on a winner. Anywho, see you next time. [video=youtube;UtIeWOKUIek] We'll "meat" again.
  12. We recently upgraded our cable TV and last night I watched an 8-minute short film titled They're Made Of Meat. It starred Ben Bailey of Cash Cab fame. I won't give away the surprise twist ending, except to say: they're made of meat.
  13. Some folk'll never screw up the bunt.
  14. Repeated Gillaspie puns double the penalty, you know.
  15. Packet By Packet, on Cisco systems. / also Play By Play in baseball parlance
  16. The pbp fails to indicate this ball was hit directly at a fielder. / tn49 did it quicker, and better
  17. When we think of something worse than banned, he'll get that retroactively too.
  18. That new pitcher the Twins got for Butera is an orphan? How sad.
  19. Having raised a fairly athletic daughter, I know with confidence that this young lady would hate knowing that somebody old on teh interwebs thinks that this is pretty darned adorable.
  20. We have a special penalty box just for you, for that one.
  21. I could go ahead and have my tombstone engraved with that as my epitaph.
