  1. This thread may have set a new record for WHIP factor. / Woefully High Ish Percentage
  2. TD. Come for the culture. Stay for the decorative painting in the bathroom.
  3. Hey, we're not the ones who brought up splattering the walls!
  4. I ran it through Google Translate, and it tells me this is "Good Francisley". / ran it through baseball-reference.com and he came back as only so-so.
  5. Center field, left field, first base... what position can this man not play?
  6. You don't have to get to third base before the bullet. You just have to get to third base before the other slowest runner.
  7. 0 walks helps spread the hits a little thinner.
  8. I thought these might be rare, but Google set me straight:
  9. Still love the audio picking up Brunansky, on a pitch a mile outside, "attaway, attaway". He's behind his boys.
  10. Cleverly trying to induce Molitor to conduct some baserunning drills tomorrow morning pre-game.
  11. Aggressive base running FTW! / bad slide nearly FTL!
  12. Is there anyone on the Twins more consistently hittable than Ricky Nolasco? / checking b-r.com... Correia' date=' BAA .301, Hughes .273, ... nope, Ricky's .322 takes the honors[/size']
  13. Roger that. / got no idea what secret code he was using
  14. No experience there, so I'll defer to you.
  15. Break his leg. That's definitely legal. / too soon?
  16. Over in the thread about possible trades with the Royals, it was mentioned that Willingham wouldn't be of interest because they already have a great fielding LF. Wha' hoppen?
  17. Climb on his back, boys, Chris Parmelee is carrying you tonight.
  18. That guy just about HAS to get traded to Houston eventually, doesn't he? 'Stro-Man?
  19. I wish the analysis by SI contained any hint of what they think he would fetch. Of course he is going to be the object of inquiries (at least from the Astros, given their recent news ), but if we're talking only some 25th ranked prospect in somebody's system then it's not really worth discussing. And it's very unclear to me that there is a team out there desperate enough for a two month rental of a good but flawed player to offer a difference maker in return. I could envision a trade a la Jamey Carroll, to a contender, as a courtesy to the player himself.
  20. Our guy Winnie is the acknowledged master of satire. As for my views, we're sellers, period.
  21. These notes don't imply to me that a Span-Meyer style swap was proposed. The intent might be to see whether a mention of Bogaerts gets the expected response or a "well, not just for Norris, obviously" reaction that could lead to more. Obviously it requires some "touch", otherwise you end up with a bad reputation forever. As an experienced OOTP trader I can tell you that my best swaps often involve none of the players originally mentioned.
