  1. I completely agree and would like to go further: instead of the 1-for-2 trades netting us the likes of Alex Presley and Pedro Hernandez, I'd prefer to go 2-for-1 and package the veteran that a particular team wants plus a C+ prospect at the same position that they give us a B+ prospect for (adjust downward if we're talking about Correia). Willingham plus Dalton Hicks to the Reds for Jesse Winker, for example. If that's aiming too high, so be it, can always come down, but I'd like to adjust that aim upward somehow.
  2. You can but I don't really recommend it.
  3. Correia also gave up no runs tonight; he can be acquired for reasonable terms as well.
  4. I didn't think 3 runs was going to be enough.
  5. What's that? [video=youtube;s2R2sH2ScBM]
  6. Freakin and its variants also work.
  7. That album cover was crashing flash players before flash was even designed. "You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me!"
  8. Most parents achieve that just in the Freshman year.
  9. Topped with Heinz 57 Sauce, AKA Lutheran Tabasco.
  10. That one is good but it is difficult to beat this one of theirs for sheer inventiveness:
  11. If I have to have white cake, I... holy crow, the Twins have the lead?!?
  12. Hammer's swinging through some no-wiggle pitches.
  13. Nice examples of concentration on defense by Zobrist and Longoria this inning, staying focused under difficult circumstances.
  14. Just glancing through the Rays' pitching staff, I'd say that developing great starters is key. Makes it easier to tell a hopeful young starter, "hey you, yeah you, you're a reliever now." Which is what seems to have happened early with Boxberger and McGee.
  15. Chris Archer continually looks annoyed. Considering he's got the lead, maybe the Twins should take this personally. / started to say take offense, but it's beyond obvious that we want them to take some offense
  16. Clearly all part of the cunning plan.
  17. And Plouffe still only ends up on third. This is a station-to-station team.
