  1. No opposite field walks? He needs to huddle with Bruno about fixing that.
  2. I think Gardy sometimes brought his closer into a tie game in the ninth, when at home, too. What would be more radical would be a tie game on the road. Or in the eighth inning to face the heart of the lineup and leave the bottom of the order to the mopup crew. Or to "stretch out" a couple of the best closers to go two innings, eighth and ninth, when called for. Or to have them come in in the middle of an inning to squelch a rally. But, I certainly was satisfied with the use yesterday.
  3. Ladies and Gentlemen, your Third Place Minnesota Twins! Possessors of the third longest current winning streak in the majors.
  4. Pelfrey is the starting pitcher. A four-hour game ensues. As Expected.
  5. Next game tell her to liven up instead. / I can swear from experience that this technique. Will. Not. Work.
  6. Uhhh, yeah. That's my takeaway.
  7. Thanks, Chief, for making an 11-inning game seem even longer! / in a good way, in a good way
  8. You're gonna hate the punch line worse, I'm guessing. If it's the one that starts, a guy goes to his doctor and says "Doc, ya gotta help me."
  9. Paging Halsey! We have a WINNAH!
  10. Approves: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51SF2C4G2NL.jpg Yes, I got the Major League reference. It's the 11th inning and I'm getting extra punchy.
  11. Curse you, Inspector Baserunner Dim! You are too clever for us naughty people.
  12. A walk. Who saw that coming and cleaned up with a sports book?
  13. So then he steals, and is completely oblivious when the ball dribbles into CF. Looking for the Not Like button.
  14. Looking for the Lolwhut? button next to Like, not finding it, moving on.
  15. I'm not playing poker against you. / that was a given long ago anyway
  16. "Robinson's game involves speed".... so he doesn't try for second with two out on a ball hit down the RF line?
  17. What if we trade him to the Indians, then they trade him back - is he eligible then? / I'm sure the Indians would like another crack at him so they'd go along
  18. Oh no you don't. You don't get away that easy. WE blame you. But it worked out.
  19. Oh, you just HAD to say his name, didn't you.
  20. No, Dozier gets my vote on that'un. He needs to score if the ball lands safely and is handled cleanly. He went just far enough and got back safely. Works for me.
  21. Does our left fielder (any of them) make that play?
  22. Where's that "Sadly" button to sit next to "Like", Brock???
  23. That Hose-Meal fellow, previously mentioned, seems like he's worth a try,
