  1. I just watched the start of the Indians-Sox game. Indians hold a slim 1-0 lead. Hopefully they keep it. Also, Angel Hernandez' calls are ... adventurous.
  2. I would have the order a bit different, for example Rogers a bit farther down with the way he has been pitching recently. Overall though, when I look at the list I really marvel at the fact that out of these ten relievers, Poppen is the only one I wouldn't trust at all in a close game. That's pretty impressive depth and hopefully bodes well for the playoffs.
  3. All in all, a nice inning for Rogers. Now the question is who will pitch the 9th.
  4. Yeah, definitely. Even more so if Odo manages to come back for the playoffs in the form of his last start. They talked about the Twins' rotation like they just read the scouting reports from last year instead of bothering to look up the current stats.
  5. Have these ESPN announcers ever heard of Kenta Maeda? They seem to be sure that Berrios is starting Game 1 of the playoffs. Like that isn't even worth of discussion.
  6. I am always glad when a slumping Twins player proves me wrong like that.
  7. You double called it. Both about the runs and Kepler finding his timing.
  8. Let's hope he does. Has certainly looked more comfortable at the plate tonight.
  9. What an inning... Very efficient.
  10. Especially that they interviewed Happ while he was playing the outfield. I don't know if I would like being distracted by an interview when balls are flying at me.
  11. I thought that too at first but on replay you could see that the tag was on Contreras' leg before he reached the plate. Good job by Donaldson.
  12. What's up with Max, though? Every hitter can have a slump, even a lengthy one. But how you can turn from one of the best defensive right fielders in the league to the one making the plays we saw lately is beyond me.
  13. Good job pitching out of that jam, José.
  14. Pretty good. He also made a good defensive play on a bunt attempt.
  15. Thank you, that was a really great read!
  16. Maybe the Twins should try small ball. Let Buck bunt his way to first, let him steal, score him on sac bunts. I have lost my faith that the Twins will score if they keep hacking at pitches like that.
  17. Very nice, Dick Mountain. Now if the offense could just get something done...
  18. The entire lineup has been terrible of late but somehow it seems to me that Cruz hits an easy grounder everytime he is up. Or strikes out badly.
  19. Apart from the rough first inning Rich Hill has been really good tonight. Wonder if Rocco will give him another inning. Now please get some runs! I really wish Arraez was already back since he can get consistent hits and won't just try to hit homers.
  20. I actually thought he were okay today. But there were two balls in the Polanco AB that should've been strikes.
  21. No, I was talking about Schwarber being hit by Rich Hill and not getting first base. IMO, he definitely made a move to avoid the pitch. He just hadn't anywhere to go.
  22. Even if it was in the Twins' favor for once, that was a garbage call. What was Schwarber supposed to do?
  23. I feel like it's far too easy to beat Rich Hill with small ball.
  24. Interesting to hear and see the prospects in St. Paul a little bit.
  25. Garver is back and will start today's game. Astudillo has been optioned to make room for him.
