  1. What would compel the Supreme Court to revisit it though? Wouldn't there have to be some kind of conflict that would cause the court to revisit it? It would have to be pretty significant to make it through the lower courts, no?
  2. This amazes me as well and is partly why I'm still so dumbfounded by what these people thought they were accomplishing through Trump. He's not bringing their way of life back, he represents part of what took it away. He tapped into their sense of entitlement though, and shifted the focus of who is to blame for it being eroded to a much simpler one, although a much more devisive one unfortunately. The change they voted for, isn't the change they are going to get.
  3. I don't necessarily agree, I've learned a lot from reading this thread and much of what you've written. I'm entirely open to reading things from all perspectives, it's why I read. I found these interesting, it doesn't mean I wouldn't find others with different petspectives equally interesting. I'm not looking for a conclusion, mainly because there isn't just one.
  4. In other news, the Liberal Trudeau govt. is dropping the Visa requirement for Mexican citizens imposed by the Conservatives in 2009. Looks like Trump might have to build two walls after all.
  5. White, middle class rural people are now the marginalised in America? Wow. I thoroughly enjoyed these articles, they are interesting viewpoints if nothing else. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/us-election/the-real-reason-donald-trump-got-elected-we-have-a-white-extremism-problem/article32817625/ http://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/trigger-warning-trump-fans-this-column-calls-racists-racists/article32816606/
  6. Leidner isn't very good and probably shouldn't have been starting for going on 3+ years, but the guy hasn't hasn't exactly had a star studded receiving core to throw to. Williams......and?
  7. Only one time? I do it all the time. No regrets.
  8. Guacamole, God bless you Aztecs. A corned beef sandwich just isn't the same without a good pickle.
  9. "A revolution against state sponsored socialism"...........that is true comedy.
  10. Socially, always. Working lunch, can't, silly.
  11. Good to see the plan for change is being made.
  12. That's sad.
  13. Running a platform of raising taxes on high income earners and cutting them on middle earners can work for some.
  14. That sounds like an awful lot of work, I doubt most are up to it, that would be someone else's job, unless it pays really well, then you might find some interest.
  15. Every country has issues, some larger than others. I pay a lot of income tax, it doesn't cause me much hardship and I'm fine paying it for some of the benefits it creates for more than just myself. It doesn't make me a socialist, not that being one is the horrible thing you seem to think it is. I'll take socialism over having the ass clown you just voted in. Also, 50% is as wild an exaggeration as saying everyone who voted for Trump is racist.
  16. Sorry, I don't give America the credit for being smart enough to have made this about solving some kind of problem. The problem remains, it will remain, it will divide the country even further. Voting for Trump is the ultimate cut off your nose to spite your face move, a vote for him is a vote for everything he stands for, which is ignorance and hate. A vote for him was another example of the me vs we attitude that is pervasive in the US. Donald Trump is your president........Jesus H Christ man.
  17. My wife makes fantastic pea soup, as well as an amazing beef and barley. Also a great hamburger soup.......no, it's not chili
  18. A perfect bag of popcorn would be one filled after cooking the popcorn in hot oil. A microwave disqualifies it from being popcorn.
  19. Unfortunately those people seem to be vanishing.
  20. Good luck. We have a very different view of the world and what qualifies as change.
  21. You mean the ones who chant "lock her up" at his rallies? That's probably an accurate assessment of a lot of them.
  22. Blue collar America is going to be in for a rude awakeing when the dream Trump sold them ends up being just that, a dream. The past isn't coming back, and Trump is not going to be the one to lead anyone into a new future.
  23. Agreed, I find it odd that people think being educated has anything to do with being a good person.
