  1. Well I wouldn't call 5 hits getting lit up, one was a damn good bunt by a fast runner but they have taken advantage of his mistakes. 3/1 K-BB , 57 pitches, 34 for strikes, he's gotten ahead of a bunch of batters and just got out of a runner on 3rd, no outs situation. Not as bad as it's been. Just trying to be positive.
  2. Yep....acorns, everybody back in the barn.
  3. I agree with Smalley, Liriano's pitching better tonight. It's not getting us jacks**t but they seem to have him on the right meds. The worse part is the patience at the plate tonight, making Williams look way too good.
  4. Acorns people.......nothing to see here, only acorns.
  5. Oh, then that makes perfect sense then..............
  6. Nice rally, at least they didn't go down with their tails between their legs. Great game by Casilla, his play lately is very encouraging, Valencia had another big hit tonight. Wilson was great tonight, got to hand it to him. I thought Blackburn was real good, a couple of bad ones that got cashed, unfortunate. If we get that from him moving forward it'll pay off. That's back to back quality starts for Twins pitchers.
  7. Actually Pena fouled it off the inside of Mauer's knee...............ever had that happen?
  8. Apparently it's to rip your ideas to shreds. You should have named this thread, "Shark Chum".
  9. He'll put one in the actual cheap seats and USAFChief will throw the ball back.
  10. Would like to see today's lineup and order a whole lot more for awhile, with Parm getting in a couple at first and spelling Plouffe against RHP. 1. Denard Span, CF 2. Jamey Carroll, SS 3. Joe Mauer, C 4. Josh Willingham, LF 5. Justin Morneau, 1B 6. Danny Valencia, 3B 7. Ryan Doumit, DH 8. Trevor Plouffe, RF 9. Alexi Casilla, 2B I like it....................... for today anyway.
  11. Has been solid in the field of late as well, which is very encouraging, other than that slightly goofy throw to 1st he played well, nice around the horn 5-4-3 double play he started. I'm reservedly excited.
  12. I'd shake it up by leaving Liriano in the rotation until he gets his head out of his a**. If we can ever get some performance out of him (and there is still hope) then I don't believe it's all doom and gloom. Marquis did his job tonight, Pavano will get his innings in and I agree that Blackburn will lead this staff by years end. Yes very wishful thinking but possible with the way this team can score runs.
  13. Wow.......you're funny!!
  14. Everyone loves Revere's energy and enthusiasm, but that in itself doesn't translate into effective play. If Revere isn't going to be in the lineup on a regular basis it makes no sense to bring him up, he's certainly not the difference maker this team needs and to make him into one is counter productive in my mind. Just like Dozier, Revere is no saviour, as soon as he went through a bad stretch or didn't provide what a lot of people so desperately want him to provide, he'd become just another pinata for the peanut gallery to take shots at.
  15. Yep, agreed but once again a day late and a dollar short.
  16. Yes we have and that play was a tough one to take but the opportunities have been there to take control of this game and it's just always one hit short.
  17. Can't get an out when we need it the most, can't get a hit when we need it the most....just frustrating.
  18. Yep, it's worth a 1 run deficit.
  19. Danny.....hit the ball the other way!
  20. Thank you Trevor Plouffe!!!! Too bad for Valencia, nothing wrong with that swing, unlucky
  21. Here we go!!!! M&M boys with back to back RBI's!!.................nice bunt Carroll
