  1. Who the hell is Boyer talking to out there?
  2. No rules here sample, just suggestions.
  3. Chef Boyer Dee warming up. Buckle up.
  4. I'll send you my full report in the morning Chief. In a nutshell, the kids have been acting up a bit and organizing the Game Threads has been a little like a Canadian Military exercise. Almost had a non Game Thread, read the sequel to Anna Karenina and then got the train back on the tracks.
  5. Not a good sign when Pelf has the horse lips going.
  6. I'm willing to bet he does before we see him up. If Ryan is posturing that way I'm inclined there is something afoot to allow that to happen. If he gets promoted to AAA sometime in June I think he'll go to play the outfield.
  7. Also a good spot to take a bat to the head! In two games I attended last year a guy's bat ended up over the Twins dugout and nearly decapitated someone. I think it was against the Astros where it was a broken one, the damn thing helicoptered it's way over the entire first section before ending up on the walkway. The guy in the last row who's head it flew over was busy talking to his buddy while everyone else stared in horror waiting for it to impale him!
  8. Maybe not in so many words Mike, but in at least two of your posts you suggest at some point you have to move on. Is it such a huge stretch here that people might be assuming you're saying to do that? I don't think so. I think people tend to forget how much Hicks has been played with like a yo you by the club. He's was put in a position I don't believe he was ready for, not once but twice, and to top it off borderline shamed for not succeeding as some in the FO expected. His desperate attempt to give up switch hitting in order to be more effective was a pretty good indication of just how messed up his head was at that point. I think his approach lately will net some results, he looks a bit different to me as well. If Buxton was not on the horizon I think Hicks could quite easily turn into a very good CF for the Twins based on his defense and a decent uptick at the plate. He doesn't need to be Carlos Gomez., or David Ortiz. The biggest impediment is of course Buxton and that leaves Hicks as potentially a corner OF or a 4th OF and I can't envison his bat ever being good enough for that.
  9. I'm hoping Nolasco continues to pitch well through June so he increases his trade value to somewhere close to a warm body return. After that it's going to be between Pelf and Milone, Pelf has more value in the pen than Milone so I can see Milone being the back end guy. I think May sticks this year. All in all a pretty good problem to have.
  10. I don't think there is any "might" about it, Escobar is a more complete player than Santana right now. With Hicks providing good defense in CF and the big bats ready to return soon I think Santana could be one of the players on the outside looking in after the next set of moves. I don't have a problem with that.
  11. Oh come on now, don't be coy.
  12. I think what you meant to say was " Way to go Plouffe"!
  13. Yeah Jerr......she's talking to you.
  14. Ok, beating the BoSox is worth two. http://www.cinemablend.com/images/news/66618/_1407262511.gif
