    sigh....we are truly cursed. No doubt about it. We can't buy a run. In the old baseball days before shifts, that was a clean basehit. Now our best pitcher is out and we got him zero runs. thats 7 left on...no maybe 8. And a total failure to produce with RISP. Maybe we're saving it all up for the 9th???

    another k on a 3-2 pitch. This is ridiculous, honestly. And I hope Sano has a 2 out 9th inning 3 run HR up his sleeve because he has been a total failure this playoff. All the bad habits have returned. Jake is pitching real well and has nothing to show for it except the air being sucked out of Target Field. they said the percentage of scoring at least one run with sacks loaded and no outs is 85%. Our guys are gripping the bats too tight. they are in full choke mode. anyone feel they have a rally in them? Just asking.There is still time to reverse this miserable direction Twins are in.

    and another k on a 3-2 pitch. Have we managed ONE baserunner with a 3-2 count. My kingdom for a two out clutch hit. don't know whether to laugh or cry at these guys. They are preparing to put the stamp on the letter that mails this one in. Even Cruz had a bat AB...a lazy first pitch fly out. Twins hitters tonite have elevated crap to an art form. Is Severino that good...or are the Twins simply that terrible? k, k, k, k, k, k, k,......suddenly thats all these guys can do.

    The only way the Twins can score is with HR's. I was criticized for suggesting that they try scoring in other ways.

    And the big two out hit we can't do. Heck we can't even get a big no out hit. 2-0. I can't see any way Twins are going to come back hitting the way they are. Thats 29 k's and counting. Pathetic.

    Jake is pitching OK tonite. His offense is making it so hard for him. He has to be perfect to keep us in this one.

    It was not a good AB. His job with no outs is to get a run home. That is what he is paid to do. Get a grip by rear end......how many more excuses are we going to make when time is running out and our guys have failed to do the job? You get no points for form.

    Now Cave misplays one and Yanks are in business. Twins will regret not scoring because the game will get out of hand shortly. Nothing is going right....again.

    It was a terrible AB....you just can't be doing this in an elimination game. Sorry. Not feeling the least bit charitable about a pop out tothe mound.

    There are no words. We are doomed. That was the worst exhibition of hitting I have ever seen in this situation. SAno, Gonzo and Cave with 3 simply horrific AB's. I knew when Rosario's ball didn't clear the fence we were in trouble. My goodness...the Yankees are in the Twins head bigtime. gonzo and Cave looked ridiculous up there. This is just so damned frustrating.

    let the gloom begin. Solo HR for Yanks. The dark cloud that hangs over the Twins against the Yankees just won't go away. Can't we take the lead...and maybe even play with it for awhile?

    for the 2nd straight game we hit into a first inning DP. But we have also fanned 27 times in the first two games....thats terrible. Jake needs a solid 2nd now.

    The lineup? Meh? Kelpler can't hit. Why bat him leadoff? Rosario....needs to not bat cleanup. The lineup has not worked...why not shake it up? Twins have 'danced' with everyone on the 25 man this year. They don't 'owe; anyone anything. Kepler probably has a legit excuse for not being able to hit...but Rosario has none. Watching Kep trying to swing the bat is painfully sad. He can't do it. Here's a thought for our strike out kings....how about a bunt...how about trying to beat the shift. Get some baserunners. don't strike out.

    Tampa shocked Houston today...totally unexpected. And they really cleaned their clocks too...so maybe we can do it too. Do we really want to be the only team to get swept?

    The Yanks ARE better and we HAVE compounded it by playing a lot worse that we have played in a long time, at the worst time. We can make a few amends tonite.

    I mentioned that during the final week. There was a lot ot buzz about him getting game one and Berrios game 3. but its all hindsight now. Nothing they have done has worked so all we can do is go forward.

    If the Twins pitchers have to get lit up...so be it. But the walks are totally unacceptable. It shows primarily a real lack of confidence....and you must be confident when facing the Yankees in an elimination game.
