  1. If Future Radar is to be believed. May be a slight delay but it looks like a window big enough for a ball game.
  2. Excellent Open Mr. Hrbowski The Berrios Draft Video was a professional touch and much appreciated.
  3. I think it should be May and we will have to wait until the young guys are called up because I don't think we will be trading for anybody at the deadline. Other teams will be trading for big bullpen arms at the deadline and most teams are much more aggressive. I wish I knew more about the Farm Arms... Looking at stats and scouting reports... It looks like Chargois might be the most immediate consideration. I'd like to hear from Seth Stohs on the subject.
  4. Loved your post I've heard it pronounced Buh-Ree-Os
  5. I noticed that you went the other way a few times tonight. It was beautiful Keep it up.
  6. Perkins was not Perkins in the back half of 2015... Perkins still hasn't been Perkins Jepsen... Is a Vet... Usually Decent... Happy he is here... but has been on the fringe of set-up roles of every squad he has been on. What he did for us last year was much appreciated but it was a little out of character. He's a Nice Bullpen Arm but not anyone other teams would try to acquire to fill a closing role. May... Could be a Closer Eventually... He's our best option in my opinion right now... But if you move May to Closer... And Perkins not being Perkins and Jepsen... really a fringe set up guy. Then WE ARE REALLY WEAK AT SET UP IN COMPARISON TO EVERYONE ELSE.
  7. Yep... and we will need to figure out how to get him in the lineup when we go visit those National League Cities.
  8. I still feel very strongly that we should have paid the price for two elite level bullpen guys in the off season. Not the average lower price stuff... The Good Stuff... with a price tag because they are good. I really didn't like all these talented bull-penners moving around from team to team around us. Yet... we stayed out of it. My face was pressed against the Window watching all the fun. What a horrible off season memory!!! You know... come to think of it... I wonder if a couple of good bullpen additions would have helped our current situation?
  9. The only mistake that has been made was when Paul made the mistake of saying that he considered Sano an OF and would not play him at 3B. That has now been rectified and that absolute is gone. Playing RF will not kill him or us... Maybe Nunez... But not him or us. Playing 3B on occasion and Plouffe sitting the odd game will not kill Sano, Plouffe or us. Having multiple players who can do something wonderful for this team is not a logistical problem unless... the manager decides to make it a logistical problem by wasting someone on the bench while he plays struggling players who he thinks should be better but may not be at the moment. Be thankful for the depth and enjoy Sano and Park and Plouffe and Mauer in the same lineup.
  10. I'm happy with Jepsen now because that ended up being funner... umm... funnest... funniest... umm... some multiple of fun I don't know. GO TWINS!!!
  11. This has to be post of the night!!!
  12. I don't think so... Roy Smalley was standard for a SS back then. Cal Ripken... Alan Trammell. Good Glove Guys but nothing flashy. The Dominicans hadn't arrived full force yet to set the new standard.
  13. I was completely saddened when the team I hate the Most... The White Sox... acquired one of my favorite non-Twin baseball players. Brett Lawrie... One of your Canuck brethren. And they are playing him at 2B!!! Freaking White Sox... Ruin Everything.
  14. Brooks is 78 Years Old I feel pretty good going with Machado.
  15. I think Ozzie is thought of that way because he was the only one doing that stuff in the 70's. He stood out... there was nobody in the same room as Ozzie. But... My God... they are all doing the stuff Ozzie did now. All those SS's you listed... They are all Ozzie Smith like in my opinion. And Arenado... Along with Lawrie when he played 3rd... and Machado... My jaw drops so often that I've become a permanent mouth breather.
  16. On a stick... It would sell at the fair... even if it was called Salmonella.
  17. It's the Arm Strength. Arms out of this world... Throws that I didn't think were possible in my day are happening every game almost. Ozzie Smith and Brooks Robinson would struggle to compete with what is happening today on that side of the infield.
  18. I hope Berrios does Pete Redfern proud
  19. Defensively... I'll take Simmons over him by a tish but I'm not happy with the thought of Lindor in a Cleveland Uniform for the next 6 years.
  20. When I use my powers of time manipulation. Instead of back or ahead... I move time sideways. That way nobody really notices and I don't get hit with a lot of time oriented requests from strangers.
  21. Alright Mr. Arizona Take off those Rainbow Shades. It's a different temp in these parts.
  22. And I'm President of the Baseball Player Position Flexibility Club.
  23. That's 4 guys suited for 4 positions. LF, 1B, DH and RF(or 3B if you want to go there) I think Molitor wants a base running team that can put pressure on but I also think Molitor understands the value of a Gorman Thomas type or two or three. Disclaimer: I love the Park signing. You grab talented players if you believe in them. I wish the Twins would do this more often.
