    I was on my way to Hawaii. I got about 20 yards into the Pacific. Ruined a perfectly good car in the process and the water was cold.

    Yeah... I used the cold water for my personal entertainment. We stopped in Santa Barbara. My kids were still pretty young at the time. They had been in the Atlantic in Florida but never the Pacific.The whole trip I was telling them that they were going to swim in the Pacific Ocean and they were pretty pumped. Got out of the car and I told them to run full speed into the ocean and they did. I'm still laughing... they ran out quicker then they ran in.

    I've done all 48 I'm proud to say. Vermont was the final state to complete the life long project. The State of Vermont did not present me with any trophies, medals or even ribbons to help celebrate the accomplishment.

    This time of year? The only time Phoenix is not hot is when they pick it up and move it to British Columbia and they only do that once every 9 years.

    I understand that. But... if the team is still in first place or reasonably nearby first place or wild card. I'd wait until the off season to make that trade.
