I remember early spring baseball. Your toes are frozen in your spikes. The sting of the bat was very real and on your mind every time you swung at the ball. Your eyes would tear up while you were trying to focus on the pitcher. You keep your throwing hand in your pants while the pitcher is going full count on every one. Your fingers are numb and you can't tell if you are holding the baseball when you finally have to make a play with it. It was hard playing baseball in this weather.
