  1. i believe they do but they probably seem curvier when mixed with other major league caliber pitches.
  2. Trevor Bauer walked the first 4 Rays he faced and escapes with only 1 run given up.
  3. Bummer Plouffe... Parm has to get at least one run home.
  4. They were tough catches to make by Dozier and Willingham but this is the major leagues. Lets make at least one of them. No reason for Worley to throw that ball to first. Spring training is still in progress defensively.
  5. I agree with this... I think he can do it... But the window for doing it would be fairly small in my world with Escobar and Carroll hanging around.
  6. Ashbury is exactly right. This is Florimon's chance to prove something. If he doesn't prove something... He's Gone!!! I think the Twins know that Florimon will drop a couple of hits on the grass on occasion but not at a frequency that most anybody can achieve. It comes down to his defense and if he doesn't steady himself on routine plays... He'll be gone because he won't hit enough to tolerate it. I've seen enough myself. I don't care what the UZR says... He's got above average range... It's easy to see when you watch him and he has the ability to make plays that very few players can make and that is why he is getting this chance. If he can simply make the routine play... He will be an elite defensive SS. It'll be a shame if routine plays are is downfall. They will be if he doesn't start moving his feet for throws. Ball is in his court. It's up to Pedro. For the time being I'll vote for Pedro. If he has to be replaced... It won't be a big deal.
  7. Harvey over Bundy only because he's doing it right now. If you are looking for someone to stash... This Wacha kid with the Cardinals might be better than them all.
  8. Chris Davis is on pace for 648 RBI's this year. Of course RBI's are a meaningless stat.
  9. Florimon from what I've seen... If he was just a little stronger on the routine plays... He'd be elite defensively. If he isn't going to be counted on for his bat... He has too make the routine play routine lee. I'm willing to give him a little rope.
  10. OK... Moore just threw 6 innings... No runs... 8 strikeouts. 41.2 innings 0 ER 48 K's Can I get some love from someone please!!!
  11. I think Chris Davis is trying to put a couple of zero's on his next contract.
  12. That's probably the most negative thing you've ever typed.
  13. I think baserunning can be important in a ball game as well. Jeez... Spring training has been extended. C'mon bullpen keep the door closed.
  14. Not getting a good grip will cause the extra hop... It would have taken one hell of a throw with Jones on third. It's early in the year but all in all... I think the D has been in Spring training like thus far.
  15. I'm a little disapointed that Hicks didn't run that Jones ball down. Just a little... But I'm very disapointed that Doumit didn't catch the throw to the plate. D is Huge... Let's have some.
  16. 50 degree I throw the shorts on and smile in my comfort. I took a trip to Hilton Head one summer. I was walking the beach in shorts and a tank top at night. The Temp was about 55 degrees and I was feeling good. The South Carolinians were pointing at me like I was a green bug. They had fairly heavy coats on and were rubbing their hands together next to bonfires. Our worlds didn't make sense to each other.
  17. After the walk off... Escobar deserves the start... After the throwing yips by Florimon... He deserves a day off.
  18. Staying with numbers: 86% of all residents polled in Estonia have no response to it either. 87% of all residents polled in Estonia fully understand the behavior of Amy Winehouse.
  19. I agree Stringer... Parmelee will be alright... its a little soon for the concern... I believe that Parmelee will be fine as the days roll on... I also believe that Arcia will be called up this year and also do well and I also believe that Morneau is going to do very well and sign a new contract with the Twins for 2014 despite rumors of his availability at the trade deadline. I also believe that Gardy or the new Manager will figure it out and give everyone decent playing time in 2014 and the Twins wii be stronger in 2014 because of it. I also believe that the Primanti Sandwich will taste incredible even if I've never had one.
  20. According to official baseball rules. Rule 7.05©: in advancing a runner shall touch first, second, third and home base in order. If runner touches the bases in reverse order, one run will be taken off the score and a negative home run will be assessed to the player and team by the official scorer. In 1912... The St. Louis Browns lost to the New York Highlanders 0 to -1. Its like rolling back the odometer.
  21. Can we consider all Twins players or do their last names have to start with the letter P.
  22. The Tigers are on pace to hit 0 home runs this year. That will be the 8th lowest team total in MLB history.
  23. How do you actually draw a blank? Seems impossible.
