  1. Idk. Right now it's easy for teams to pitch around or just walk him. If he gets more help in the lineup, maybe he'll have a shot.
  2. The cardboard fans could do a better job managing and coaching this team right now. Also very arrogant front office. The sox could be scary good for a while.
  3. This team falls apart so easily when things aren't going their way. Except for Cruz, these guys are soft and coddled. Participation trophies from the front office and the manager aren't working either.
  4. Still waiting for that comeback win, when trailing into the 7th or later. Opposing bullpens have really been tough on our guys this season!
  5. Romo catching Nelly's HR with his hat was phenomenal!
  6. Are the twins taking BP? Where is the hitting coach? Also Garver needs to change his approach to blocking pitches in the dirt!
  7. Speaking of players who are looking like a bust, how about Stewart 4th overall? Just think of the players the Twins could've drafted in '13, including Tim Anderson, Aaron Judge, Hunter Dozier, Austin Meadows.. I know, hindsight
  8. I agree and was using him as an example. If I'm a FA pitcher, I'm not liking the Twins due to their poor fielding
  9. I would like to see the FO think outside the box. Twins had no true running threat outside of Buxton, and opposing pitchers knew that. A lead off guy like Whit Merrifield would be perfect in this lineup. Someone who gets on base, can steal bases and can play any outfield position, 2b and 1b. I'm probably in the minority here, but 8 out of 9 in the batting order, all swinging for the fences every at bat, won't get it done in the post season.
  10. Not staring Schoop was questionable, given Arraez was not 100%. Stashak in a 1 run game was the biggest head scratcher, along with trying to stretch Rogers and Romo for 4 innings in an elimination game.
  11. The Twins gave away at bats like it was the regular season. Failed to put any pressure on the opposing pitchers, or alter swings with 2 strikes. Boone managed circles around Rocco, and he learned from his rookie mistakes last season. Hopefully if the Twins make it back next season, the process from the top down will be better thought out. Great 101 win season, especially considering my expectations going in.
  12. The Yankees had very good advanced scouting and executed a plan accordingly for game 1. Twins coaching staff/hitters made no adjustments for game 2 and made it easy on their pitchers. Yankees approach seemed simple.. fastball up or off the plate, breaking ball over for strikes, and of course the slider/splitter in the dirt, which somehow the Twins are thinking is a hittable pitch this post season.
  13. I know there was a storm approaching, but did anyone else think that the 4 pitch top of the 5th was funny? I'm sure it happens, but I've never seen batters want to make outs so quickly in order to qualify a game as official.
  14. Nice to see Berrios backing up his last start with another solid outing. No Giolito is more good news!
  15. That road field advantage is so sweet! Great wins today and Graterol looked unhittable
  16. The Twins best player on this home stand and Garver is not in the lineup?? Cruz doesn't look healthy to me and Wade is struggling badly at the plate. Arraez continues to impress!
  17. "Strikeouts are boring! Besides that they're fascist" Was great to see Berrios keep that lineup off balance and induce weaker contact. Hope he can build on tonight's performance.
  18. I've never seen a twins team so much better on the road vs playing at home. Does anyone else think they appear more focus and relaxed away from target field? Fun win tonight!
  19. I understand that the upcoming cleveland series is huge, but it seemed like Rocco treated the last two as if they were throw away games once they got behind.
  20. Why does everyone assume this team will be good for the next several years? It's much more likely they will regress, especially given the career years a lot Twins players are having.(ex 2017 Vikings) Winning is nice, but winning it all should be the goal here. Both the '87 & '91 teams came out of nowhere to win the WS.
