  1. It's strange that I've gotten to the point where I'm looking forward to the Twins going on road trips. Seem to play a lot better there
  2. Target Field sounds dead. Need the boys to get some excitement going in there.
  3. Why is this team struggling against the Tigers at home?
  4. Can we just play the rest of the season as the away team?
  5. Pensacola has had some pitching studs roll through this year. Graterol, Alcala, Dubnak, Ober, Duran, Smeltzer. Future pitching looks bright. Unfortunately most of that talent can't help the current Twins pitching staff.
  6. These are just games Twins have no excuse to not win. "Ace" on the mound. Home game. Against the Tigers. In the middle of a playoff race. Sad.
  7. I'd trade the homerun record for good starting pitching
  8. It's sad to watch the guys struggle so much at home lately. Twins fans have had to endure some rough times the past 9 years and it would be nice to give them solid base ball during a hopeful season at Target Field.
  9. 17 hits given up. To the 2019 Detroit Tigers.
  10. The way Duffey and May have been pitching lately, yeah he is definitely the weakest link.
  11. Yeah Harper is not fooling anybody any more
  12. I would think that Harper is kinda on thin ice right now. He's been giving up a lot of well hit balls lately. If he continues to falter he might be replaced by Graterol or Alcala.
  13. Well at least the Tigers don't have Greene any more
  14. Cave has been the only bright spot today
  15. I was told this was the easy part of the schedule
  16. The Twins really haven't been playing their best baseball at home. It's disappointing, but maybe if this is a trend it won't be that bad to start potential playoff series either at NY or Houston.
  17. Seems like the Twins thought they had 2 off days in a row
  18. Well that was extremely anti-climactic
  19. I never thought you could change pitchers in the middle of an AB
  20. Fair enough. Can't argue with statistics. If Cruz helps the Twins go far in the playoffs with similar numbers to what he has currently I would say that Cruz is the better signing, but you definitely make a good point that Thome had better numbers. I guess I just have some recency bias.
  21. Comparing Cruz's slash line + 33 HRs + 80 RBI (and still a month left to play) to Thome's 2010 numbers...it doesn't really seem close at all in my opinion
  22. In happier news, Bailey Ober pitched his 2nd straight gem for Pensacola. 7 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 12 Ks. Hopefully he gets a quick promotion to Rochester.
