  1. Twins players will probably tell the media that they don't care about who they play in the first round of the playoffs, but you can't tell me that they don't think about the team's previous history against the Yankees.
  2. Twins should go after Colome in the offseason
  3. He's dreaming of one day actually being able to contribute to the team
  4. Yup. People say that it's a short season and these results should be taken with a grain of salt, but the plate approach just seems off this year for most of the lineup. Hitting coach should be canned at the end of the season.
  5. Maybe the Yankees will win the rest of their games and pass the Rays in the standings
  6. Well Buxton is going to have at least 1 more plate appearance. So there's a chance.
  7. I know Rocco is setting this game up for it, but I really, really don't want to see Rogers out there today
  8. You can thank Max for that runner being on third
  9. When is it going to get through Rocco's head that Kepler is not confident at the plate right now and shouldn't be batting leadoff?
  10. Well it is the same 3rd base coach as last year. Had terrible sends last year too
  11. Lol that gift was squandered pretty fast
  12. The umps have been awful behind the plate this whole series. I think Donaldson's frustration was justified and he basically did what every Twins' player wanted to do. He took one for the team. I'm personally a fan of players that show emotion like that. It shows that they care.
  13. Maybe not smart, but I like Donaldson bringing a little spice into the lineup. It creates some fire, which the lineup was lacking besides Buxton.
  14. Ok Rocco. Now go out and argue with the ump before every batter.
  15. Kepler is just an automatic out at this point
  16. Well at least the Twins offense is coming up this half inning, and by Twins offense I mean Buxton.
  17. Out of all Twins pitchers right now I would trust Maeda the most against the Yankees.
  18. Buck has more HRs in 34 games this year than he did in 87 games last year. If he works on being more patient at the plate and drawing some more walks, I think he has a legitimate chance at being in the 30/30 club. He has the power and the speed.
  19. Kepler needs to be brought down in the lineup. A leadoff hitting shouldn't be batting .210 with a .700 OPS
  20. Jeffers and Kirilloff had similar BAs at AA last season and Jeffers has held his own pretty well. Sure Kirilloff's SLG was lower than Jeffers' was, but judging by his numbers from previous minor league seasons he definitely has pop. Jeffers also never played higher than AA.
  21. I think the lefty slugger batting 4th should be Kirilloff or Larnach
  22. Yeah I don't know why Rocco is so in love with Kepler batting leadoff. He's batting .215 with an OPS barely above .700. When he was injured the Twins were 9-2 with Polanco and Wade sharing leadoff duties. I think Kepler needs to get booted out of that spot. I 100% agree with Buxton batting first. He has a better AVG than Kepler, an OPS almost .1 higher, blazing speed, and he'll average more plate appearances, which gives the Twins more chances for him to create havoc on the base paths. Also the Twins need to fire the hitting coach after this year. It's mind blowing for an offense to go from one of the best offenses of all time to barely being able to score more than 2 runs a game. Bring back James Rowson.
  23. He's aiming for his ERA to match his Uber rating.
