    Well I personally think Bauer is a little better at this point in time but Man...He sure fits nice in our rotation...and his #27 is available too...

    I just don't know anymore. Besides acquiring a front line ace starting pitcher, I don't see where we can improve. It becomes a chemistry or management issue.

    I think we shouldnt be in awe of Cleveland. I have said all along they aren't that great. Yes there is something positive going on but a lot of those guys like Bauer, Kluber etc werent drafted by them anyways Bauer especially was gonna be a force no matter where he ended up. He's an ace forget about his antics...Clevenger, Carrasco, remember Danny Salazar? Oh they are so great...when they play. All of those clowns are/were on the d.l more often than not. And how many championships has that got them? ZERO...THE HOOP. they blew their best chance against the Scrubs in 2016. Forget about them lets worry about what the Minnesota Twins have to do. We have a good core with Maeda, Pineda, and Berrios. Odorizzi prolly wants to come back at a reasonable rate. We lack that true Ace. im saying it first, and he wants a one year deal...its Bauer. with that rotation and the depth we have...that is the missing piece. Hill would come back with Smeltzer, Dobnak, and Thorpe waiting in the wings. I am so sick of hearing how great Cleveland is. they arent, and they never were. and know what, they never will be. the new threat is...lol South Side...it will be a very important managerial hire for them. if they are smart they they wont hire a yes man. If they change that culture they can be really Really tough. nough said for me.

    i get it we dont wanna see the yankees. The way its playing out if we wanna go all the way we will have to beat em sooner or later. I dont see Oakland or Tampa taking them out at this point.

    Im not so sure robot umps would even solve these problems. Everybody that says this has gone on forever is right. This is a team game....it takes probably one at bat to evaluate the strike zone for that whole day. You communicate it to your teammates and let them know how it looks to you. We tried the robot ump in intrasquad and it did not go well. Im not saying its never going to happen, Im saying it's way farther away than some people seem to think. Who is going to regulate the robots? Obviously current senior umpires. How strong is their union? I think we know from previous examples that it is pretty strong. So now we are going to ask an Umpire to oversee a machine that took 75-80% of his colleagues jobs away? I hope i am not around to see the ramifications of that.

    I just love Donaldson. People overlook the fact that he was drafted as a catcher. He has transformed himself into an elite defender. I know he is older but there is no reason to believe he cant contribute for the length of his contract. The other little things i notice are....Moving Sano to 1b was bound to happen eventually. To have a huge target to throw to makes Polanco's throws look better than they probably are. For a dude that size I think Sano is pretty agile and nimble. The dude is straight up a good ball player. With Donaldson's range to his left we could have seen a marked infield defensive improvement coming. Plus I think Polanco and Arraez have made getting better defensively a priority.

    With Rooker and Jeffers already getting significant playing time i sincerely hope nobody except Adrianza and Gonzalez are used to fill in at 2b. This IS a pennant race folks!

    We should all just be cool because we dont know what kind of crap Cleveland's dugout talks all game. Romo has no history of starting stuff. He finishes stuff. like last outs of World Series.

    Well i dont wanna see em fight, However..... I am sure I am not the only one that resents their arrogance since about 2015. They are not THAT good yet they act like the '27 Yankees. From Francona to Bauer to Kluber to Lindor to Brantley to Kipnis...even back when they had Muchael Bourne. If I recall they are the longest team in the Majors since they won the Championship. Irregardless, as soon as we stepped up we knock em iff their lofty perch. Screw them! I hope we get em in the first round too. How you gonna chirp one thing at Romo? Next time i hope he shoves one of his 3 World Series rings up his arrogant A$$! If and When Francisco Lindor can say he has won three titles then he can say what he wants to Sergio Romo. Until then he should STFU.

    I was royally pi$$ed in 2018 when we basically tanked the second half by trading Escobar, Pressly and Dozier. I won't apologize for that but my opinions about the FO have proven to be wrong. After a series of well thought out moves I give them high marks overall. I am glad they came here and i see the results of their knowledge and experience. I know this thread isnt totally about the FO but the direction we are heading under their leadership is encouraging to see. Alcala, Jeffers, Rooker, Duran etc are all exciting young prospects. It will be interesting to see in the off-season if we can upgrade our starting pitching with some of these assets.

    I guess i just always thought that the Cy Young is for most valuable pitchers. MVP should be for the hitters. I know there are crazy years that it has happened for a pitcher, but not this year.

    Im not the FO, the Manager or the CEO, but dont you think if they wanted to phase him out or non tender him after this year the the lineup would reflect that? Again I just watch the games. I dont pore over the spreadsheets. Rosatio is without a doubt the primary left fielder. I say that because he is in the lineup every day. Except of course for the scheduled days off that every regular gets. Hate him if you want but i highly doubt he is going anywhere until after 2021. As far as questioning his loyalty...go ahead and do that too. What would it say about Our loyalty to non tender him. 10-12 million is a rip off compared to what he could get on the open market.

    for every numbers crunch...theres another one to equally dispute it. Eddie Rosario will never be as valuable to any other team than he us to this one. Because he grew into s major leaguer with most if these guys. Watch him play and tell me he doesnt love his team and his teammates. Has anyone ever heard him bitch about anything? I haven't. I will miss him when he leaves. And i fear thats after the 2021 season. I hope not before.

    and i agree 100% with that. I am afraid Buxton will never forgive Falvey for that service time bullcrap they pulled in 2018. I am thinking Berrios is too full of himself and wants to test the market. Frankly, if he were smart, he would take a deal now like Max, and Polo, and Sano did. In Rosario's case I cant see them non-tendering him...i just can't. and hope not. they might though. I have seen this FO get smarter and smarter all along. Whatever they do I'm sure will be well thought out. Its clear to me he is an important part of this team. No matter what numbers you wana toss out there.

    that seems a lot less harsh than the tone of the article. Its probably the way it hit me too. I find myself watching Rosario even more closely to see if he does suck as bad as it seems some people like to say. I saw him double home three runs and get thrown out going to third...that was a bonehead move. I know he gets dinged for taking chances with his arm that backfire. I dont look at the numbers as closely as some do, but i understand their value. There will come a time when his value is not worth his aggressiveness. But for now, for Christ's sake we need him and his heart. Its not his numbers we will miss, it will be his spirit. Im not saying he is the greatest, all im saying is he brings to this team what no other team would see. That and no way is anybody below him ready to replace that. Lets evaluate it after the season and meantime let him play. IMHO He is doing Aight so far. If we, as Minnesotans, fans of the Twins aren't loyal to our own guys then what message does that send to future free agents that consider coming here. I dont know, to me it's not a tangible thing.

    and i understand your point. At some juncture everyone has to make a decision on how to allocate the budget. Its Pohlads money not mine. Assuming they don't pocket every dime that is a profit, I just dont see how not keeping Rosario is going to help us. We will muss him a lot. The future is bright for sure but I will tell you this. We can kiss Buxton's A$$ goodbye and Berrios too. They aren't signing extensions. Treating loyal guys like Rosario right might seem not sensible to you. If you look at it another way, guys like Donaldson, will not want to come around if we continually screw players over that have paid their dues here through thick and thin. Another example is Trevor May. How are we going to deal with him. MLB has another problem now and it's because nobody stays on one team long enough for young fans to know and grow with the stars. Its sad. It didnt used to be that way

    I get it....you think we'd be better off without him. Is every Twin the best at their position compared to the whole league? Im sure not. I personally dont understand why anyone all of a sudden wants him gone. You, yourself know he will be next to Impossible to trade. Not because of his true value but because of his contract status. There is NOBODY in mlb that drives in 100+ runs and hits 30+ bombs on a division winning team that makes less than 10 mil a year? This is insanity. Im 56 years old and i watched Rooker botch a play the other day so bad against detroit that they could never call it an error. He NEVER got close enough! I would have made that play! Be careful what you wish for. When your microscope is on Rosario you are missing all the little defensive lapses that Polanco, Arraez, Gonzalez, and Sano make. Maybe we can get Carlos Gomez back and see how you like it. He does bat righty. I am with whoever said "what will we complain about when Eddie's gone" Some of us remember 1995, and 1982, and even 2016. This is just fine with me.

    Yeah I bet you dont hope he winds up in Cleveland. If he does he will haunt you and the rest if the non believers fir at least 19 times a year for 5 years. Why doesnt anyone wanna pick on Berrios? or Sano? or Garver? for example...dude had one good year...won silver slugger at catcher...this year he sucks. What does Rosario have to do? Hes been here since 2015 FULL TIME. ahead of Sano, Buxton, Kepler, Garver,maybe Polanco, maybe even Berrios. Is anybody serious when they say bottom line, all around, we are better off with Rooker, Kiriloff, or Larnach out in left? are you fu€*ing kidding me? Obviously nobody in the organization shares this belief. Why dont we try and focus on what is right instead of sniping at someone who has done nothing but bust his ass for us and be proud to be one of us.
