  1. im not scared of any of em.
  2. Watching Donaldson in a Twins uniform is going to be an absolute Blast. I cant wait to see not only his performance on the field but his interactions with his younger and older teammates. Im excited to see Hill, Maeda, and Bailey pitch because I have heard they are all pretty darn good but I haven't been able to follow them as close as I have wanted to. Im excited to see if the bullpen can keep up what they started last year. And....Nelson Cruz. What a joy it is to have a player like that. I can't say anything about him that hasn't been already said. To me the most impressive thing about him is winning the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award. What an Honor for a Great man.
  3. Its hard not to like what we've seen and heard so far.
  4. im not sure Keuchel would even crack our rotation. Certainly not if Pineda were available from day 1. Maybin? Im not saying he's not a good player i just dont see where he would fit in our organization. Any of the players I would mention such as Grandal, or Encarnacion just dont fit in terms of the fact that we already have viable home grown options already in place. Unless you could pry Hader away from the Brew Crew as a Lh set up man or someone like Baez from the Cubbies, who is really better than the guys we already have? They will have to get on the field and just DO IT.
  5. This is so much a crapshoot and an unknown entity. We already know we have a great looking team on paper. We can pat ourselves on the back for two more weeks but the bottom line is whoever sticks together, stays healthy, and takes care of business like professionals is gonna win this sprint. I love our management team and it sure looks like we are favorites, but this is a year where ANYTHING can(and probably will) happen. I just trust in Rocco and his staff to make sure we are as good as we can be.
  6. Thank you! I honestly did not recall that. I remember when Max was about to get a cup of coffee that i thought it would be great to see him instead of Park at 1b....lol
  7. I know we all want to put Garver at 1b when he doesn't catch but has he ever played even one major league inning at the position? I would argue that Kepler has played more 1b than Garver ever has.
  8. Just goes to show you why he's Manager of the Year. Its not only because of the W-L record.
  9. It is interesting that i never thought about a Sano backup until i heard he tested positive. After Marwin, and (ugh) Adrianza, who really is our backup 1b?
  10. am i the only one that doesn't understand why the 7/3, 3/7 disparity in divisional home/road games. At this point I know it doesnt matter but jeeze, travel isnt a factor. So what is?
  11. That sounds great and I admire your optimism. One thing the last few years has shown me is never to count out the Cardinals, Craig Counsell's team will ALWAYS play hard, and the Indians are never dead until they are mathematically eliminated. That being said, Im excited too! Let us not forget the Cubs still have a bunch of core guys from their Championship season. Also I picked the Reds to be a surprise NL team and that was before we found out they can use Castellanos/Moustakas/Aquino at dh every day. It's not gonna be a cakewalk.
  12. I know Right...i was just wondering if Larnach or Kiriloff might sneak in there for a couple games
  13. good question as to who's at first now...hmmmm maybe Marwin?
  14. no matter how you do it, its a SICK lineup...this is a new twist. Maybe i will try it out on my my mlb 9 innings20 team
  15. I am afraid we have seen the last of Romero.....If it weren't really bad news, the Falvines would have told us all about it.
  16. I'm just afraid that beating up on the Pirates, Royals, Tigers, Reds, and Cubs isnt going to prepare us for playoff baseball.
  17. i havent ever yeard if a concrete deal even being discussed. His value to us is of course higher that of other teams. What do you think you are going to get for him? Mathew Boyd? Any pitcher that is already in a rotation with way more team control is going to be valued higher than Rosario. Does that diminish his value to this team? You have to ask yourself who would replace him Right Now. Larnach? Kiriloff? Cave? Whybdont we put thevanalyticsbaway for a secondband realize that a first year player could never duplicate the numbers Rosario has put up since about 2015.
  18. How can you argue about a team this deep. If they dont go 40-20, especially with the competion, i will be very surprised.
  19. I have always liked Eddie Rosario as a player and a man. I have to say, it is kind of disturbing to hear Aaron Gleeman and others constantly insist we would be better off without him.(sorry Aaron i just listen to the podcast every single week) We all know the plate discipline analytics. The only time i remember anyone could say his defense was subpar was last year. Let us not forget he was hurt from sometime in June on, and he was asked to move to rf to make room for Araez bat. As a former outfielder i can guarantee it is not an easy transition from lf to rf. On top of that he still hit 30+ bombs and still 100+ rbi. Come on man! Who is ready to replace that? Cave? Wade? hell naw. Say what you want! Eddie Rosario is a valuable asset to this team. He came up with Every core player we have. To simply dismiss him is foolish. He is part of our Sano, Berrios, Buxton, Kepler, Polanco, etc group.. just saying.
  20. I just got my Nelson Cruz t shirt from mlb .com What an honor it is to have him. Good guys Do finish 1st!
  21. What an honor it is to have this man be a part of our organization.
  22. what a great man, great player, and a great addition to our family. Im not lying when i say i liked him since he broke in with the Strangers.
