  1. Glunn... It's gonna happen - it is our will. As Plouffetists, the victory will be ours alone!!!
  2. Hey Glunn. We have more that a month to go before the All-Star game and if Diamond keeps going the way he is... you never know - it would be great and I would have no complaints if he was the Twins AS Selection. I hope my last thread comment didn't come off as crass or condiscending... it was meant to be greatly respectful!
  3. Let me be frank - Diamond has pitched awesome and at this juncture has kept the Twins' season afloat to a certain degree. My angle is who you think will be the Twins Rep in the All-Star game and not who you want.
  4. Willingham would certainly be the most deserving pick and at this point Diamond has pitched very excellently, but with the competition and his lesser sample size that would be a surprise. Although I endorse Willingham as the representative, the competition at that position is usually loaded and I would not be surprised if a guy like Matt Capps slides his way in.
  5. Brett Jacobson = I am missing Hardy right now.
  6. If this is only a dream - then you straight up do not trade Span... over and done.
  7. Who represents the Twins as an All-Star this season? Is it Willingham? - is it Mauer? - is it Capps? - is it ?????????????????? What are the TD participants' thoughts?
  8. Just for fun - throw out a trade scenario involving The Twins and Phillies involving Span - Curious minds want to know!
  9. Not the prettiest win... but a win none the less. Didn't expect that much out Blackburn - he did better than one could have hoped. Nice play by Casilla in the 9th and Capps was efficient. The offense got it done today, but seemed a bit flat. Hopefully Mauer is back in the line-up on Friday. We are definitely a better offense with our cemented starters playing.
  10. I don't see a fit with these three teams. We definitely are not going to get Zach Lee, Dylan Bundy, Manny Machado, Billy Hamilton, or Mesoraco in a deal for Span - I'm not too excited about the other prospects that were named and as far as the Dodgers, Orioles, and Red's are concerned... I have a hard time envisioning them being desperate to make this kind of trade this season.
  11. It seems to me that our Twins are still a little confused as to whether they are playing slow pitch softball or fast pitch baseball. Their hitting rhythm is way off. It seems like Bruce Chen's performance and approach last night is continuing to linger and becoming a festering sore. On another note: Hooray Morneau!!!
  12. Man, I hate games like this. Bruce Chen and his devestating arsenal of slow pitch softball pitches dumbfounded and handcuffed the Twins line-up tonight. What makes it worse is that Lirano had his 2nd consecutive and 2nd overall well pitched game and received the "L". Even though we lost, I hope he can gain some confidence from this outing - that is by far the only good thing to take from this game. I wish the Twins could teach their hitters how to hit their own organization's pitching philosophy - "Pitching to Contact". Maybe the Twins hitters should have watched some video of our pitchers before this game to give them a fighting chance or edge. Congratulations to Bruce Chen on a well pitched game and also to Liriano... I just wish that the Twins were not the ones to look like bumbling idiots facing Chen. I'd prefer to leave that to the other AL clubs. Oh well, the Twins have overall been playing pretty decent lately. Let's get 'em tomorrow! Damn You Bruce Chen! Damn You!
  13. As a Plouffetivist, I am happy to report that Plouffe has battled and clawed his way back up to the Mendoza line. It would have been nice to see the Mendoza line breached, but I need to settle down and take it one step at a time... tomorrow might be that day. It was nice to see the HR and since Valencia has been sent down, it has created an opportunity for Plouffe to play on most days, thus leading to the reality that Plouffe has been very good offensively and his defense at 3B hasn't been too shabby either since DV's departure. If I am correct, I do believe Plouffe's 26th Birthday falls on June 15, a birth date in which Plouffe and myself share. Maybe the B-day gift on that day will be that Plouffe has raised his average to .215-.220 and we can continue the celebration of the anniversary of his birth with great hope that he can continue his ascent and reach .250. If this happens 20HR's will be definite!
  14. Minnesota is a fairly decent place - especially in the summer. I think you would really like Target Field - architecturally it is the best of the best. You should come and check it out!
  15. ****! I hope you get that remedied. A male yeast infection can be a long haul.
  16. awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. FDG - please tell me Christmas is not cancelled this year. I really need to talk to Santa.
  18. Word up River Brian! You are definitely a Plouffetivist. It's all about him getting a fair shot to prove what he can do. Finally he is getting his shot and at a premium position and doing well. Now the ball is in his court... keep it going Trev!
  19. Cool. I have been close to Memphis while traveling, but never had a chance to stop in... I need to. You must be accustomed to top notch BBQ. I would think that Memphis is Cards territory. It is awesome that you had access to Twins games - glad to have you as a fellow Twins fan! BTW - Is that Cardinals Territory? It was a bumber to lose Pujols, but the Cards are my bros down the river. Far and away my #2 team.
  20. Mauer must have some kind of curse. Let's make it clear that I am not a Mauer contract hater. His luck has gone straight down the ****ter since he signed it. Hopefully he is back in a few days, it seemed like he was getting his wheels spinning to make a move at pushing his BA into the area we are all comfortable with him at.
  21. I can't say I blame her. It can be a grind sometimes, although this winter was mild for what we are accustomed to. The winter before sucked big time - too much snow. Are you originally from MN?
  22. Thanks Glunn. As Plouffetivists, its important we stick together. It is only a matter of time before the Mendoza line is breached... the sky is the limit!
  23. No problemo. If I am watching the game and aftermath, I am always glad to pass on the info!
  24. 1st and foremost Plouffe has looked okay at 3B. 2nd - It seems like Plouffe has started to get his engines running and is swinging a good stick. Up until a few weeks ago Plouffe was rarely playing. Now he has a couple weeks of playing fairly consistently and things seem to be turning around for him. Let's judge him from this point on and forget the past. As a Plouffetivist, I strongly believe he can help this team now, and in the future.
  25. Gardenhire, in his press conference said Mauer has a slight thumb sprain and it is day to day. He sprained it swinging on his last AB and indicated to Gardenhire that he should put some ice on it ASAP.
