    That was my 1,000th post. I promised myself my 1,000th would have something to do with the Golden Girls. When I did a google search - I typed in "Naked Golden Girls" - this was the best I could find. (Not True) Now that I am an "All-Star", I now have the confidence to say, Betty White is overrated. I'll take Bea Arthur over Betty White in a New York Minute. She's hot... sort of looks like Chief.

    Funny. There is a Factory close to Cottage Grove that makes sandwiches for a chain gas station (I believe it is Holiday or Super America). Tom Moy might purchase some of his meats from that place. That might explain the difference between "chicken" and "real chicken".

    I agree that if the season ended now the team MVP is definitely Joe Mauer. Sam and Glen are certainly the #2 & #3's - either one is a good pick for runner up. It seems like it has been a long, long time since I was excited to watch a Twins Starting pitcher pitch. I am breathing it in, enjoying it, and not taking it for granted. Deduno is a piece of the puzzle of this teams future.

    If I had my druthers, I would hire the "Dos Equis Most interesting man in the World". Not only could he serve as an interpreter and great influence to the Latin American Ball Players, but I believe his bravado, swagger and too cool for school attitude might rub off on the team as a whole. This might be the missing link the Twins are looking for - inspiring the players to play with more flair, passion and a take no prisoners attitude, thus making them a more worthwhile product to watch on the field and when the talent is in place a legitimate contender for the grand prize come October.
