  1. May god have mercy on your soul... Simply turrible as Charles Barkley would say
  2. Nah it's just he legitimately plays as if he's on a little league field back in PR. And if I'm being honest, I absolutely love it
  3. Are we actually paying Eddie a contract? Or are they just giving him pizza and ice cream after every win?
  4. Jesus don't tell him that... He'll do it.
  5. See? Eddie gets thrown out then like the maniac he is, legs out a triple
  6. He prefers to be called "Pitcher formally known as a bust"
  7. You sure that wasn't the cutter?
  8. Prepare the bullpen. 3 innings in and Lynn's already at a very Odorizzi-esque 50+ pitches
  9. His first job is to catch the ball. You can't get an out without it. If he's gotta pull up to make sure he actually gets the ball that's what you have to do. If he'd have hustled and got there quicker that would probably have been an out as LoMo wouldn't have had to rush his throw and hit a moving target underhanded
  10. My bigger issue is that Lynn let it get out of hand to the point where the runner from second scored. If he drops the flip and everybody moves up a base, ok whatever. Letting that run score deserves the error.
  11. That E had better be changed to Lynn. LoMo busted his you-know-what just to get to that one
  12. All part of the Rosario Experience. Best roller coaster in the country.
  13. Keep the Robbie hate coming. He likes it
  14. Hitting coaches: Ft. Myers is Steve Singleton. Javier Valentin for Double A. Chad Allen for Rochester. I will say that Borrego at Ft. Myers is the only Latino manager the twins have and he was the field Manager of our Dominican Academy in 2009, which if memory serves was around the time Migs was drafted. Maybe they A) think that a manager who can speak directly to him and not through an interpreter will help. Or maybe Miguel actually played for Borrego in the DR.
  15. He's just going by tailgate etiquette rule #1. "If it's free, it's for me"
  16. I've heard the same joke although in that version it was the guy getting kidney stones
  17. They didn't need to sign Chris Carter to provide Sano with an example. If they want to point at a player and simply say "that's how hard you should be working." they can just point at Escobar. This is a guy who's nowhere near as physically talented as Sano but he gets playing time because he's earned the trust of the coaches by going out there, busting his butt and producing no matter where they put him or what they ask him to do. He also understands that he has to work for everything he wants. I'm losing confidence that Sano is ever going to put it all together because I'm not sure that he is capable of that type of introspective thought at this point.
  18. The real question is who loves you more? Your dog? Or your spouse? There's an easy test. Put them both in the trunk of your car. Open it after 1 hour. Which one is happy to see you? Case Closed.
  19. That dog is defending his owners beer WITH HIS LIFE!!!!!!! Cat wouldn't do that
  20. All of this is true. It's true because unlike dogs, cats don't care about you. They don't beg for food because they think you owe it to them. The little scamps wouldn't pee on you if you were burning.
  21. I tried to time it with a stopwatch but it took so long that I was gonna have to pay overtime so I just turned it off. I've got overhead to worry about here
  22. First I want to say that while I feel this was a necessary move on the teams part and that I'm glad they made it, I also want to say that I'm sorry to see Phil go. One thing we can't say about Hughes is that he didn't do his best to help the team win. It can't be easy going out there knowing that you're not as good as you used to be but to his credit I don't remember one report or even a rumor that he was not putting in 100% or that he was a bad teammate. He was going out there every time and busting his butt for his team even if the results just weren't what you would want them to be. I wish Phil the best of luck with whatever he does in the future both in baseball and just life in general.
