  1. Why does a 1 run TB lead, seem so large to overcome?
  2. Bremer says he gets calls from Carew. The only way that happens is if Carew butt dials him.
  3. He supposedly is the big bat i the lineup for this team. With that being said, do you remember other big bats who were struggling, who were moved to the bottom of the lineup? I don't remember Killebrew batting 8th, or Reggie Jackson batting 9 for the A's.
  4. Putting performance aside for just a moment, the one thing this Twins team lacks is a bit of swagger. A couple of guys show it, but then don't back it up with their performance. But just look at the team when the camera pans the dugout. Most of them look like they just sat through watching "Old Yeller". Kepler, looks like he's gonna cry (as well he should), Kiriloff looks depressed and the bullpen guys look like deer staring into headlights. Most of the guys look embarrassed wearing the vest and playing with the toy fishing rod. Come on, get tough, let's see some 'marbles'. Maybe some intensity can jump start these guys. This is a terrible division. It's there for the taking. Rocco, let these guys play. Ok, if they're hurt take them out, but don't automatically make a move and escort back them to the dugout. Show some grit, and employ some basic strategy that has been around for years. What you're doing now is not working.
  5. What did he finish with? No batting titles for 1/2 season.
  6. This looks like a tremendous mismatch between division leading teams. We got 2 games to get on track.
  7. On that obvious bunt, you got to throw in the direction of the hitter's head.
  8. So disheartening to have a mistake, obvious or close to, decide game scoring.
  9. Twins have turned in their hitting shoes for flip flops.
  10. 1st off, I like Kepler, but not his play. I think this is a truism for most of us. However, I always thought he was a bit stubborn in his inability or desire to change his at bat approaches. Rolling the ball over to the right side and pop ups are Kepler signature at bats. For this reason his value serves as a negative to the younger players. Adjustments, is what baseball is all about, and Kepler has never been able to embrace that aspect for any significant period of time. It's time to cut bait with Kepler and move on. Get what you can for him. almost anything would be a plus for the Twins, right now. The FO should not hold the rest of the team hostage, because of Kepler's contract, or some other reason they choose not to reveal. There is no transparency when they discuss Kepler, or at least a transparency that is plausible.
  11. Rocco marches to the beat of a far different drum, at times. It will drive you crazy trying to follow his logic at times. You just have to hope that when the smoke clears at the end of the regular season, we're in the playoffs.
  12. Twins seem to play to the level of their competition. Cleveland is a so-so team. We played so-so baseball. We'll see how this team plays TB.
