  1. i hope everyone had a good all-star break. You know, getting some rest, healing up from some injuries, and seeing your kids for a few days.
  2. We let him off the hook with a possible 3rd run sitting at third.
  3. Woodchuck .looks like a different pitcher this 2nd inning.
  4. The question is "how many dollars do we lose based upon the declaration of trading him. this was nothing more than trying to squeeze a few more dollars from fans who were dreaming of the impractical or the least probabi;ity of him staying an Angel. To paraphrase Lloyd Christmas, " Are you telling me there's a chance'?
  5. I finally figured it out. The National League uniforms look like a janitorial service uniform.
  6. I met Gump Worsley a couple of times as he lived next door to my sister and her family in Bloomington, Minn. Nice enough guy, but should have worn a mask.
  7. Guys that throw gas can be impressive or even fun to watch. When they can't find the ;plate, it's a journey into watching paint dry.
  8. Whjy couldn't Bautista pitch like this against the Twins last week? Oh yeah, It was the Twins. forget that.
  9. Was that Bert Blyleven catching that HR ball?
  10. I just saw an advertisement for Deal Dash auction on my computer. They got Joey Gallo current bid @ 2.56.
  11. Was Coomer an All-Star, or named to the team? If yes, end of story.
  12. No, this guy played hockey for the North Stars.
  13. I think Terry Riley bit a part of the ear off, one of the North Stars. For the love of God, I can't remember his name.
  14. My neighbor loved Bobby Orr. He wanted to name his first son, Bobby Orr William McDermott. People would hear that and would ask him ,'Well which name, Bobby or William'.
  15. My brother had North Star season tickets and I don't think I missed one Boston-Ninnesota game. I remember Orr taking the puck behind his net, outskating everyone up the right or left side, and then letting a viscous slap go, or he would cut across the crease and backhanding the puck in.
  16. Yes indeed. Seems like Bobby Orr played 45 minutes in the NHL ASG.
  17. Did anyone happen to listen to Cal Ripken's thoughts on playing everyday, or close to it. It was just before the game started. To paraphrase it, he basically said the rest and days off, did not suit him. PS. Ripken is a HOFer who did pretty well for himself playing close to everyday for over a decade, and not being a fulltime DH.
  18. I think it's easier to figure out a logical rotation based on whatever. Then take the paper. roll it up in a ball, and shoot it at the waste basket. Then let Rocco-nomics take over.
  19. How do you cringe when you consider the odds of becoming a professional ball player. Just luck?
