  1. If Bremer mentions our 5-2 start one more time, I'm flying to Minnesota, track him down, and shove one of Hrbek's walleye sandwiches down his throat!
  2. I just saw Acuna of Atlanta hit a homer and stand and admire it. When I was a kid, watching Gibson, Drysdale, Ryan, etc, I wonder what they would do if that kid did that to one of them?
  3. Does Jake Cave have compromising pics of Baldelli? Why do we waste our time with this guy?
  4. I think Bremer is highly contagious. Can we remove Hawkins from the broadcast?
  5. Garver leading off, again. I guess they're gonna force him to get a hit or get hit. He needs a kick in the ass. He's not showing any upbeat emotion. He looks like he's gonna cry, when he walks back to the dugout.
  6. TV note: Mitch Garver appears on the Dr Phil Show. Garver tries to explain his 'poser' role as a big league player. Also featured: Pregnant mothers whose husbands are their adopted sons.
  7. It's one thing not to be a very good ballclub. But an embarrassing one, is not acceptable. Way too many mental errors and failure to perform at clutch times.
  8. what's the story on Buxton, tonight?
  9. Can any of the ladies explain why when you have long, scraggly hair, you tend to keep running your fingers through it. The Brewers bullpen, comes to mind.
  10. Buxton is facing the shift. I wonder if it ever crosses his mind to try and push a bunt past the pitcher. Who knows he may even turn it into a double. Just wondering.
  11. Kyle Gibson had a stretch 3 years ago, I believe, when he had his best stuff. He did 2 things that were very obvious. 1. He challenged hitters with his fastball and slider. He didn't throw waste pitches 18" off the plate. Hitters had to protect the plate, and not take the obvious chase pitches. If you throw a pitch so far off the plate, it's no longer a chase pitch for a majority big league hitters. 2. He had a nice pace to his pitching. He got the ball back, got the sign, and fired. This constant walking around and rubbing the ball up,only puts the infielders back on their heels. The pitcher over thinks and tries to guide, rather than throw the ball. And it becomes unsufferable on the fans. Quick pace, I believe, affects the hitter into making quick, not necessarily good decisions.
  12. Twins need to add a power arm or two to the bullpen. We need a pitcher who has the stuff to blow a hitter or two away. Pitch to contact with runners on, pressure on, and a close game, is a recipe for failure. Pressly sems to have the velocity, but not the movement. Perhaps a change in grip or mechanics could bring about a decent fastball with movement.
