    I wonder if it would be best to take any pitcher just signed from amateur status, and have them go through TJ surgery, first. Even though it could happen again, it may reduce the chances.

    Minnesota is a regional team in a lot of ways. We draw fans from the surrounding states. I would prefer ideal weather, but i would be more frustrated if they didn't try and have games under less than ideal conditions. Nothing worse than loading up the family and driving a few hundred miles, only to see a game postponed due to less than ideal conditions. I always thought of this when Gardy would rest Mauer on Sundays. Fans who had to come on weekends were denied to see him play live. I would have preferred to see him have another day, during the week, off.

    He reminds me of a guy who used to hang out at the bus station. He would hustle for quarters, shoot pool, and play cards. Always claimed he could have played pro ball.

    MLB should adopt the 'guest DH'. Each game a team chooses a non-rostered player to be the DH. It cold be entertaining. Like billy Crystal for the Yankees, Biden for the Nationals, etc.
