    Hopefully, today is the start of something good. This is the first day of the rest of the season. We have a lead and some new faces. Let's hope the Twins have some fire in their bellies.

    Yeah, I'm not even going to attempt to think I know better. My baseball went up to my soph year. The guys running the show will forget more than I will ever know. I know a sit down with someone in MLB front office would school any one. If you really seriously think your baseball acumen and IQ is equivalent, you're an idiot. (Unless you've had previous experience).

    I really don't see the Twins being a serious contender to go deep in the playoffs, if Buxton's current work schedule continues. I think he has to either play through the pain and occupy a sport on the everyday roster, or cash it in. It's like Mark Spitz, treading water, rather than competing in a an event.

    I saw Killebrew at the Met, barely miss a grand slam on a ball ruled foul. Next pitch he hit the base of the black back drop in center field for the grand slam.

    The sound on my tv went out this week-end. I saw Kaat standing in front of a podium. giving the Twins pitching issues, I thought he was announcing his un-retirement and re=signing with the Twins. My wife walked by, and said " Oh' there's Jim Kaat doing his HOF acceptance speech" I slumped into my chair, pretending I was asleep.

    Are they blaming or giving credit to the opening of the roof? I don't know if they still apply, but roof rules used to be 1) only opens at beginning of inning .
