  1. At this point defence is not the problem. We need offence. So I'd be for Garver getting more starts. Wynston Sawyer, catcher caught my eye in S.T. He started at AA and is now up to AAA. He might be a dark horse if you want a hitter.
  2. I don't trust power hitters that strickout to often. I've always wanted to trade Sano for a pitcher and have always wanted Kepler and Rosario batting in the middle of the order. Sano should be batting 7th.
  3. The grass is greener. The easy thing to do is throw $$$ at F.O's, but for a small market like the Twins, we fans have seen little results from spending $$$ on F.O.'s We would have paid Vargas little to put up the same numbers, we could have keep Cargois for nothing. We had decent talent. We needed a RH hitting OFer and Starting Pitching.
  4. Good news for LaMarre. LaMarre, Hughes, Kinley, Moya, and some others will have to prove themselves to stay in the Bigs. We have about 8 guys plus Vargas in the Minors ready to step in. I'm looking for a great season. Win Twins!!!
  5. I think Granite's injury send him back to AAA. So, to me that leaves LaMarre-Vargas. For some reason Granite was in play which to me means Grossman was not going to see the outfield. To me LaMarre, Vargas, Graver, Adrianza is your best Bench. Outfielder, Power Bat, Catcher, Outfielder. I still would drop Enns off the Roster for LaMarre regardless of him making the team. The Cave pick-up still is a little bit of a head scratcher. We'll see. Any way this is a good team and a better team then last year with lot of talent in the Miniors ready to go.
  6. Can we get Chargois back too? I like Kennys for the Bench.
  7. The signings this year have been solid, But, we let Chargois go for no reason and I'd prefer Vargas on the bench. In hindsight I'd have Gaver,Vargas,LaMarre, and Adrianza, seem Molitor prefer Grossman with no upside. I'd also prefer Chargois in the pen over Kinney,Rodger or Hildy right now.
  8. Agreed, any AAAA guy can sit the bench. No one cares who is sitting the bench. Why, because they are sitting on the bench and not playing. We are not platooning starters.
  9. Also, Chargois and Bard have done well. It will be interesting to see how they do. The Chargois thing is just weird. There was no point in it. He had options left. At this point why do you ditch him for Kinney? We could have had them both.
  10. LaMarre could still make the Team. As far as Moya, Kinley goes. At this point you keep Kinley. Nothing hurt. Moya is young and never pitched at AAA. Kinley can be used in low pressure situations because we have late inning guys. As far as Granite, Grossman goes. I'd still rather have Vargas on the Bench then two outfielders that should never see the field because we have three studs. We have 9 good starters, we might need a bench bat.
  11. No surprise, You start the season with the Vets and rule 5 players. They get the first chance to fail. Then you bring up more talented younger players in May-June.
  12. The Twins seldom have good to great power hitter in the System. In the past I can think of Sano, maybe Vargas. Guys like Arcia,Rosario,Kepler,Parmelee were good hitters in the minors, but not with the type of power Rooker is showing. Lots of people jumping on the Bandwagon early!
  13. Pressley is not capable of throwing three curves for strikes. Everyone knows he has a good fastball and they sit on it. He also gets behind to many hitters, so again they sit on the fastball. Why swing at the curve if he can't throw it for a strike, just wait for the fastball. Hitting is much easier when you only need to look/swing at fastballs.
  14. Most of the Twins best prospect have see time with the Big Club. Rooker is one I've wanted to see get some AB's but has not got called over yet. Maybe this week. I hope the Twins don't hold him back for the sake of he has to work through the system, I see no reason he doesn't start at AA. The Twins are light at 1b and the OF in the minors.
  15. Seth, any idea on which players are on the bubble at AAA and AA. Picking up Cave adds one more outfielder to AAA. I also wonder about some of the pitchers like Baxendale or Van Steensel. Any word on Crosby he looked good in his call-up.
  16. If Sano is not suspended, I don't see second backup infielder Aybar get any playing time. But the way this team is right now I don't see keeping two backup outfielders either. I still would of like Vargas on the Bench over Aybar or Two outfielders on the Beach
  17. Well, we still need a RH Bat to play outfield. This signing hurts or backs-off the time table of a couple of guys. Besides, Vargas, who will benefit from this LaMarre who is batting .500 this spring now has little or no chance with the Twins. This gives Granite competition and now Wade could stay down in AA? Also, it might effect when Rooker gets a call-up or if Outfield is now out for him. We'll see, competition is a good thing and the Highest Outfield prospects are Kirilloff,Rooker (who might not see the outfield much) and Baddoo, all of them are a couple of years out. At the end of the day, this years team has gotten better and that's what you what to do without over paying or singing someone to to long a contract. I'd give the F.O a Solid A for this fall. Mistakes- not bringing in a RH outfielder for S.T. and letting 3 relief pitchers and Vargas go for nothing.
  18. The Vet's and rule 5 guys always head north. Only to be cut in May. It's just how it works. To me S.T. means nothing (very Little) except to one or two players, otherwise the Team is decided in Feb. Unless an injury happens - Rosario.
  19. Meiji, Gonsalves, Slegers, Romero and Littell at AAA would be awesome! Let them compete and put pressure on Gibson and Hughes.
  20. So why do we need both Escobar and Adrianza as backup infielders? Would it not make more sense to keep Vargas and send Adrianza through wavers? If Adrianza is welected we still would have Abar and Gordon at AAA. Will Adrianza get any playing time??? He shouldn't unless someone gets hurt. I'd prefer Vargas on the Bench.
  21. After signing Hughes and Nolasco I don't want anything to do with so-so 3-5 pitchers. We need to sign guys that would fill the ACE or #2 spot on the best of teams. If not then keep the $$$$ and go with Slegers, Romero, Gonsalves and Littell.
  22. Romero and LeMarre are the winniers at this point. The three that have impressed me, because I've never seen them are Littell, Sawyer and Wade. Littell looks composed and in control, I like him a lot for a guy 22 years old. I'd move him past Gonzales to #3 prospect. As far as Sawyer and Wade, they both are swinging the bat. I'd prefer Sawyer 26 as the third catcher and Wade is making solid contact in his first S.T. games, good to see. I'd like to see Rooker called over for some AB's as well.
  23. I'm for trading Sano for an ACE. Never been a fan of the long ball hitters.
  24. Has anyone noticed Littell, He and Romero look good. I'm a Slegers fan for the 5th spot and Mejia for the 4th spot. I doubt this happens in April, but I think this is the better way to go in the long run. Time to move Forward and out with the low ceiling dead weight.
  25. We still need to replace Grossman with a RH bat. I'd prefer to find a Vet like Hunter, with a one year contract. As far as signing any of the other 3 pitchers, it would have to be a one or two year contract, any more then that and you'd be clogging the 40 man roster with someone that you might need to cut.
