what does the FO. do with Rooker? Do they bump him to AAA. Do they add him to the 40 man roster so he can get a Sept Call up? I think this FO moves player to the Bigs at a slower pace then the last FO. I think they'll let him finish out the season at AA and Move him to AAA next year. But, it might depend on Morrison and what happens by trade deadline. Will we move any Field players and are we losing. .

Carter-Vargas We only needed one and Vargas has been hot as of late. Kemmer has strong Minor League stats and Carter's good stats came the first half of the year and he's hitting .187 with Rochester in 123 AB's. Also, Carter was DH only. As far as Littell goes. I'm glad he's seen the Bigs, but that last call up made me scratch my head, he's not a relief pitcher. Littell is the youngest pitcher on the AAA team and I think he's another Slegers. I like him, but it might take a while to find his legs at the Major League Level. I think next year (mid season) he'll be ready for the jump, but he still need some Sept starts.

Don't you mean Cave - Buxton? Buxton is the one Bombing. Kepler is still on the edge. But, yes, Cave could cover for either.

I've had enough of the Vet's. Move Polaco and Kepler to 3-5 and move Dozier and Morrison down. Why Morrison is still in the Lineup is enough reason to fire Molitor!!!! He's had his shot (Molitor and Morrison) The F.O. added Lots of Vets, was it just for this year or is it something they are planning on doing in the off season too. This team has a solid core, even with Buxton and Sano failing. We have some young starting pitchers at AAA, I've got to believe we can use 2 or 3 of them full time next year. That leaves us needing a closer and a DH. Plus, I'm OK with Garver, I'm not OK with Castro.

The F.O. moves have mostly backfired and they have been slow to correct or use the AAA club, and they still are signing AAA castoffs that we don't need. But, the real problem has been Dozier,Sano,Buxton,Kepler,(Polanco). 5 starters that have bombed on top of Bad moves by the F.O. and Molitor. Injuries happen but these are 5 guys bombing while most of us thought could be All star players. Just to many guys having a bad year. Players,Coaches and F.O.- 48 replies

Article: MIL 2, MIN 0: Strikeouts Galore
BJames replied to Andrew Thares's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I don't understand the Hate of Vargas. No one is saying he'll lead the team to 90 wins, but WAKE UP and smell the Coffee man, our DH is hitting unders .200 thru July. Time for a change and the old DH (who hit .253 last year with a .758OPS. career stats are about the same) is wasted at AAA. Also, why is Wilson on this team. Garver or Astudillo might not be good catchers, but that's not an issue right now. Likewise I'd like to see Cave playing CF everyday. -
Part of the F.T. Myere's one hit game was Sano's 0-3, 3K's. Between him and Buxton, it doesn't look like either will earn their way back on to the Club any time soon. I think if Kepler was sent down Wade could fill his spot with out to much of a problem too. Vargas is slowly getting better as well, so how long can we go with a DH (a extra hitter that can be anyone on the team) hitting below .200???

BJames replied to Steve Lein's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
All those great off season signing, don't look so good now.! I think the new F.O. wanted to put their mark on the team, when all we needed was a closer and a RH outfield-DH bat. Good on the closer- failure on the DH,starting pitchers and set-up men. I was OK with sticking with what we had and using the youth this year. I guess it could still happen in Aug-Sept.- 11 replies

Slegers need to be in the Bigs, throwing long relief. Move Magill to the 6th,7th,8th inning guy with Rodger,Pressly,Reed. Whitefield could be a sleeper and move up quickly, but that's not the Twins way.- 13 replies

I see we signed another week hit catcher for AAA. The front office seem determined to fill the bench and AAA with player that hit under the Mendoza line. -

BJames replied to Steve Lein's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
and we are still in second,,,,for now. So, I'll layoff all the negative talk, I've about given up on this year. Now the F.O. has to start making decisions about guys like Kepler,Garver,Dozier,Buxton,Sano. Do we stick with these guys or start the trading. I'm for sticking it out and bringing up Gordon and some of those pitchers. I'd still like to see Vargas just one more time too. By the end of July, we'll know where this team is headed and we can DFA or Trade a lot of dead weight, get younger and go for Sept.- 20 replies

We have two starter with an OPS over .710, they both are over .900. Morrison is at the bottom at .630 Its not time to panic yet, but it is time to mix it up more and change the lineup.- 41 replies

If anyone on the Team can DH, why does Paul pencil in Morrison every day? As much as I dislike Grossman, he's the better choice or anyone from the AAA team! Hell, the pitchers might be a better choice.- 41 replies

I've never know the Twins Organization to be Offensive minded. We just bunch a group of guys that could/should hit a little. I don't think, other then Sano, any of these guys in the Minors was considered a Great Hitting prospect.- 13 replies

Should Slegers be brought up in place of Belisle? I think he would make a good long inning pitchers as he throws strikes and keeps the game moving.I'd like to see Gonsalves make a start for Romero. I still think the Team would have been better with Vargas, not Grossman.

Taylor Motter. Seem like the F.O. is digging for Gold in the scrap heap again, just like the old F.O. Cave or LeMarre, Petit or Motter. Duffey or Belisle. Theses are just Distractions from the Sano,Dozier,Morrison,Buxton,Reed failures. I know Vargas isn't killing it at AAA, (i don't blame him) but what part of Career .250 hitter and .748 OPS looks bad now. Vargas wasn't the problem. We needed a RH Bat for the OF-DH and didn't get one, thus we have LeMarre-Cave. The F.O. also decided to keep Grossman- no bat, no glove??? Also, never sign reliever for more then 1yr. Is it time for Gordon,Vargas,Wade, any Catcher or any of the relievers yet. Something needs to change. Paul-F.O.?

Article: Twins Prospects and the Final Piece
BJames replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I'd have no problem seeing either Gordon or Dozier DH some. We need more guys that can get on base and fewer K's, Gordon fits right now. Remember how quickly Sano and Buxton were brought up? Then why wait on Gordon who was a 1st round draft pick. Its getting old watching guys hitting under .225 and all the K's. -
Nick Anderson, to the Bigs. 2W-1L, 3.38ERA, 3Saves, 24.Innings, 14Hits, 37K's. 1.04 WHIP 27years old and has moved steadily under the radar.

Article: Week in Review: Wasted Starts
BJames replied to Andrew Thares's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Morrison and Buxton need to sit. It might be time to bring up Gordon. I'd prefer to wait till July, but why wait at this point. This offence is ****. We still have a ways to go and guys at AAA that can be called up. Also, Gardy loved to bunt, Sac and Steal Bases. What the Hell is Molitor waiting for. This team looks more and more like a Men's SoftBall team going base to base and waiting for HR's as well as the same 8 guys on the field everyday. Dam it Paul- DO YOU HAVE A PULSE??? You don't want to overreact, but you need to react!!!!!! try this - Dozier,Kepler,Rosario,Escobar,Sano,Garver,LaMarre,Grossman,Petit. -
Article: SEA 4, MIN 3: Zuni-Not Again
BJames replied to Tom Froemming's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Time to get Sano out of the top of the order. He's not the threat he once was. The only hitters we have are Kepler, Escobar, Rosario. Garver now and then and Dozier now and then. You've got to keep those guys all together. Everyone else seems to have no clue or consistency other then bad! Plus, we seem to be doing little as far as small ball to help steal some runs on the few hits we get. Waiting for the long ball is getting old. By the way, Pitching has been solid.
