    I don't understand the fascination with Drew, the guy can't stay healthy. He has bad wheels and the grind of the shortstop position just makes him a bad signing waiting to happen. Defensively and as your 9 hole hitter Florimon or Escobar are fine.

    Just curious.....Are you the same guy that had the inside info that Scott Baker was signing here? I really believe every person in baseball wants to win the World Series. To say that Gardy or TR don't is just being ignorant!

    LOL, do you really believe what you just posted? The only thing you said that made any sense was the handling of young players. I do think he needs a little help with young players and their ups and downs. People throw Drew Butera in their like he is an everday player, when the truth is he batted a little over 100 times last year.

    Thank God we do not have a GM like that. That is a terrible trade for the Royals. Shields is signed for 2 yrs and is 32 yrs old and Wade Davis is a 4 or 5 guy if you are lucky. You gave up your 2 best prospects for that, what a joke. That is why the Royals are terrible every year and the Rays are one of the best run franchises in baseball.

    Or he preferred to go back to Japan (to take a slight paycut) where he could play in the best league/be a star again rather then riding the bus between Rochester and Scranton for another season? I don't give him any credit, he was a terrible ball player for this club and is one of the reasons why this team finished in last place two years in a row. Good riddance. Get a clue. He was man enough to give up the money and was good enough to get the contract. He struggled playing here and I'm sure the change of scenery had a lot to do with it. Not his fault the team played terrible.

    To me I don't understand why Span is on the trading block. I would trade Revere, who's upside is a Juan Pierre clone.

    I have a feeling Denard's trade vaue isn't as high as it once was. He is looking like a player who is a little fragile (I know he can't help the concussion issue). I think Revere is only going to get better and you can't teach speed. He should be the CF anyway, even with a healthy Span.

    I wish I wasn't any good like him. It kills me when people are negative on a guy who has played MLB. He is better then I could have ever dreamed to be and better then the best players I ever played with. The worst player to ever make the big show is better then you ever were.

    Everytime something negative happens you idiots think an overhaul is needed in the front office. It's pretty obvious TR doesn't like what happened here. Did TR diagnose this? Did TR hurt Wimmers arm? Did TR tell Liriano to pitch like crap to start the season so his value would be garbage? Give him a chance to turn this around, HE HAS A PROVEN TRACK RECORD PEOPLE!!!!!

    I giver TR the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what you people thought we were going to get for Frankie, but I do know you need to be realistic. We got a guy who will battle Florimon for next years utility job and a possible 5th starter-long relief guy. It's not like we don't need bodies in these areas.

    That is why I said I hope he can regain his old form. We are stuck with the guy and we need pitching next year, so hopefully he can be out #5 starter and we don't have to waste another 3 mil on a Jason Marquis type.
