  1. I don't think it's that bad twinswon1991. Last year was pretty flukey with all the injuries. If the big guys stay healthy all the complimentary pieces will be fine.
  2. I think Casilla needs to be at 2B. Our defense was terrible last year and with our pitch to contact pitchers we need to be strong up the middle. I just think our outfield defense is going to be suspect at best, so we better be stronger in the infield. If its an offense thing then I would be all for Hughes.
  3. The 3rd catcher thing is ridiculous!!!! We have 2 catchers on the roster, so the 3rd should only be needed in an emergency. If we have an emergency use Willingham for a couple of innings and call someone up the next day. No need to carry the 3rd catcher with you up north. Problem solved!!!!!
  4. Chipper is no doubt first ballot HOF. Top 3 switch hitter of all time. No steriod talk with him, its a no brainer.
  5. Its spring training, average means NOTHING. All hitters want is good swings and pitchers to get loose and work on some things. Morneau is starting to hit the ball hard just in time for regular season. Thats all we can ask for.
  6. Way to be pro-active on our best bullpen option:)
  7. I would only DH him. They need his stick in the lineup.
  8. I talked to Marty Brown who managed in Japan and is now a Triple A manager for Toronto. He told me Nishioka is a very good player. He also said he is not a major league ss, but will be a very good hitter and 2nd baseman. He said the adjustment is tough for the japanese players, but he thinks last year was just a bad luck year and he will be fine.
