  1. Where was Buxton hit by the pitch, head?
  2. Since the ball hit Kepler in the helmet, I hope its not concussion related. On the interference does it matter how close Lee was second, i.e. if he were standing on second would interference still be called?
  3. Buxton was hot for while, now ice cold
  4. Miranda not in starting lineup. Hope they are just playing it safe. Margot is the DH
  5. That's still $30m for 2025. You may earn some interest on the $15m deferred, but you still owe almost $30m for a player that wouldn't opt out unless he were injured or pitching poorly in 2024.
  6. I don't think Snell would cost that much in player capital because of his contract. The buyer will hope that Snell will perform well, which will lead him to then opt out of the 2025 year, therefore a short term rental. The risk to the buyer is that Snell gets hurt and doesn't opt out and the buyer is on the hook for $30 million in 2025. (The Twins seem to have traded for a lot of pitchers who fall apart as soon as they land in the TC.) SF has that risk now and probably would love to be out from under. I don't see the Twins taking on that risk unless they can mitigate it in some way. My opinion is that if Snell is traded he will bring, at best, one of MLBs top 30 prospects, of which the Twins have 3.
  7. In July Vazquez has BA of .276 and an OPS of .817
  8. I just googled longest pinch hitting at bats without a hit
  9. Margo's 0-25 pinch hitting isn't close to the record, I was surprised who was number 1 Longest hitless streaks Chris Davis, 2018-19: 0 for 54 ABs Eugenio Velez, 2010-11: 0 for 46 ABs Bill Bergen, 1909: 0 for 45 ABs Dave Campbell, 1973: 0 for 45 ABs Craig Counsell, 2011: 0 for 45 ABs
  10. I think the FO called Julien up to perform well so his trade value would increase. If this was the case it was a monumental failure. In regards to the homestand, 2-3 is about what I hoped for. The Twins won the only comfortable game. Lost in the 9th inning of game they were being shutout in. The other three were tossups. All of this happened with 3 players that should be in StP, or DFAd on the 26 man roster. JMHO GLTA
  11. On Saturday Martin was on 2nd in the 10th, Castro lined out instead of bunting.
  12. I look at this game a little differently. I'm disappointed with loss, but I'm encouraged by SWR. The offense was a dumpster fire, but we were without Correa, Lewis, Miranda and Buxton on a rest day. "If" we get everyone back our offense will be much better. I look for better times ahead. JMHO
  13. Why doesn't Lee play SS. Willi's been having some problem
  14. Runs scored on BB &WP. No ball in play
  15. I wish the Twins would bunt more.
  16. It seems that there are fewer pure DH players (i.e. Nelson Cruz). Perhaps the final voted position could be changed to DH/Utility player.
  17. I believe that the Twins can catch Cleveland if they have relatively good health. To me this year reminds me more of 2003 when KC was playing over their heads and the Twins were 7.5 games back at the all-star break. The Twins added Shannon Stewart and won the division. I think Brooks Lee can be this years Shannon Stewart with his on base abilities and the Twins will have the equivalent of an August trade when Lewis comes back. JMHO
  18. I would have preferred Castro in CF, Lee at 2nd and Margot on the bench
