  1. Not to mention the fact that it's really none of our business, doubly so because Molitor has owned his substance abuse and moved on from it. It's not as if the guy got drunk, hopped in his car, and killed a family.
  2. Molitor has kept his nose clean for at least a decade. At some point, we need to stop holding things against people, particularly things that only involved their private life. It doesn't mean we need to forget those things happened but after a time, a guy deserves to be judged by his recent behavior and not bad behavior three decades old.
  3. Next Monday, we're hosting a viewing party for the MNF game and the Minnesota Wild taking on the Rangers. The party is hosted at Poor Richard's Commonhouse in Bloomington and the first beer is on us. Come on by and drink our beer! http://twinsdaily.com/calendar/event/1183-vikings-journal-mnf-wild-xtra-launch-party/
  4. Here's a link to the free 11 page sample of the upcoming handbook.
  5. I agree. If they haven't made a decision within a week of the conclusion of the WS, then I'll start asking questions. Right now, I couldn't care less.
  6. Think long and hard about this statement and then imagine a world where Terry Ryan hired a manager before any other team. What would your opinion have been had that happened? You've set up a situation where, in your eyes, Ryan cannot win no matter what he does. Hire early, he's phoning it in and didn't properly evaluate outside candidates. Wait to make a decision and he's stalling to provide "cover". That tells a lot more about you than it does Terry Ryan.
  7. This. There's absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a manager after the season is complete. If potential candidates were dropping like flies, it'd be a different situation... But that's not the case. The Twins have reportedly narrowed it down to 2-3 guys and they're unlikely to lose any of them to another team while they're in the hunt for the Twins' manager job. Taking a few days to reflect on the decision is the right thing to do.
  8. And that's the last of them. I only have handbooks going back three years. If anyone has an older copy, emailing it to brock@twinsdaily.com would be appreciated.

  17. Do you want a handbook or do you want system email? You people need to make up your damned minds.
  18. There is no delay in selection. The World Series hasn't even gone to a third game yet.
  19. Nice to see Ryan moving players off the 40 man. Dump another 2-3 guys and a lot of room opens up for FA and prospects.

  21. Yep, you got it. You can see it because you're listed as the article author. The unpublished tag simply means it's in the process of proof-reading, adding images, and set up for later posting. The only people who can currently see that post are admins, mods, and the author.
  22. Ugh. Email is pretty much the worst thing ever. It's akin to the Internet running entirely on 16 versions of IE 5 with each company adding their own quirks and exceptions that break the process. It's easily one of the most poorly executed pieces of the internet... Which is terrible because it's also one of the most important.
  23. Okay, thanks. I've tested the system in Gmail and it seemed to work fine. I'll test it in other email providers.
  24. Thanks for the heads-up. What email service do you use, BTW?
  25. I always thought of him as a corner guy. Turns out, so did a few other people: http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/6/13/3081952/prospect-of-the-day-wil-myers-of-kansas-city-royals-scouting-report http://www.hardballtimes.com/making-the-comparison-wil-myers1/ Not exactly a ringing endorsement even from the people who thought he *could* play center.
