This nicely sums up how I've viewed the Astros this year: they're still very good but no longer great. They're probably a better team than the Twins right now but it's a small gap and the Twins can absolutely beat them if they play anywhere near their capability. -

It feels like Toronto is managing out of desperation. I get that you want to cover your ass in an elimination game but having Kikuchi up, then Cabrera is just burning assets prematurely.

He's getting squeezed a bit, maybe, but he's also just not "on". But he has bulldogged his way through it thus far.

I wish umpires were more honest and just visibly flipped a coin when asked about a check swing.

He also hasn't given up a run. There's no need to get a guy up when no one is even on base yet. Gray gets at least that much slack. I don't pull him out of the game unless he has given up runs, went over 100 pitches, or he has gone five innings.

The Twins are not showing the good approach at the plate they were showing yesterday. Lots of swings at balls way outside the zone, plenty of **** contact.

I'd like to take this moment to point out that literally every fanbase tears their hair out over their team leaving an "abnormal" number of runners on the basepaths and every team sucks with RISP. Just ask Jays fans about it.

I believe that has always been the case, or at least as long as they've had alternate uniforms available. I've known the starter chooses the uniform for at least 15 years, maybe longer.

Polanco doesn't look good at third but he did what was most important in that play: stopped the ball from getting to the outfield.

We have close to 19k members but many of those are duplicate or spammers. According to the system, just over 5,000 users have interacted with the community by creating content. Most people who create an account never do anything with it. The software stats are wildly inaccurate. We definitely have never had 49k users online. The most I've seen active at once is around 3,500, IIRC. Pretty sure that was the first round of a draft, can't remember which one.

Berrios was renown for amping himself up so much before big moments that he makes mistakes. Let's hope he hasn't aged out of that trait.
