  1. Correa with an infield single, just as we all predicted.
  2. The Twins are not showing the good approach at the plate they were showing yesterday. Lots of swings at balls way outside the zone, plenty of **** contact.
  3. I wonder if it was called from the dugout. Varsho had a down season and may have just laid that down to try to make something happen.
  4. I'd like to take this moment to point out that literally every fanbase tears their hair out over their team leaving an "abnormal" number of runners on the basepaths and every team sucks with RISP. Just ask Jays fans about it.
  5. And they damned well should have let him. Bill Lee is a personal hero of mine.
  6. I believe that has always been the case, or at least as long as they've had alternate uniforms available. I've known the starter chooses the uniform for at least 15 years, maybe longer.
  7. Polanco doesn't look good at third but he did what was most important in that play: stopped the ball from getting to the outfield.
  8. We have close to 19k members but many of those are duplicate or spammers. According to the system, just over 5,000 users have interacted with the community by creating content. Most people who create an account never do anything with it. The software stats are wildly inaccurate. We definitely have never had 49k users online. The most I've seen active at once is around 3,500, IIRC. Pretty sure that was the first round of a draft, can't remember which one.
  9. Win the game in front of you, worry about tomorrow tomorrow.
  10. Berrios was renown for amping himself up so much before big moments that he makes mistakes. Let's hope he hasn't aged out of that trait.
  11. Honestly, it's really helpful if people reach out to me directly a lot of the time. I used to have a lot more Twitter coverage but I absolutely refuse to give Musk money solely for Tweetdeck. Now that I'm keeping an eye on three communities, my attention is often focused elsewhere.
  12. I used to monitor it much more closely for stuff like this but now that Dumbo McDumbpants has put Tweetdeck behind a ****ing paywall, it's a lot harder to track messages.
  13. I'm sitting field level and therefore, the game results will reach my eyeballs first. I win.
  14. I'm attending my first Twins postseason home game so if they win and break the streak, I'm taking all the credit.
  15. October! Baseball! Eighteen losses in a row! Wait, that last part isn't fun at all.
  16. I was not aware of this error until this moment. I will look into it.
  17. The Jays cover Canada, they’re not purely an east coast team. They’re also a huge market as a result, which means they probably don’t play at 10am or whatever ridiculous time MLB starts the first game.
  18. People are way overblowing Duran's volatility. Yeah, he's not Joe Nathan... few are. What I see here matches up with the eye test and it's pretty normal closer stuff. He occasionally gets wild and is occasionally BABIPed to death. That's what happens when a guy has small samples of high leverage pitches.
