  1. He’s no Kintzler, that’s for sure.
  2. Both Schoop and Cron have impressed.
  3. Except the numbers have been remarkably similar for almost two years.
  4. The thing is that no one ever profiled him as an ace except beleaguered Twins fans. He was a first round steal at the back of the round because he broke his arm. But he never profiled as an ace. Never. He’s basically hitting his projected ceiling right now; a very good starting pitcher, a 2 or 3 depending on year.
  5. So Berrios is the fifth starter? Again, I’m not sure why it’s so hard to understand that Gibson has been good for something like 300+ innings now.
  6. It has been extraordinarily ugly, that’s for sure.
  7. That “clown” has an .800 OPS and has been absolutely mashing for the past couple of weeks. I swear to god, it’s like this entire game thread is gaslighting me.
  8. He literally pitched an entire season of 120 ERA+ baseball last season. Better than Berrios.
  9. Except he did. He was better than Berrios for an entire season in 2018.
  10. Gibson has been good for something like 300-350 innings now. I’m not sure how much time people need. And the dude is recovering from e.Coli and lost 20 lbs, probably all of which was muscle. He deserves a little slack, especially when it comes to tiring in later innings. The guy has every friggin’ reason to wear down during a game.
  11. The Angels offense feels a lot like the Twins offense. Less pop, but Trout. They’re annoying.
  12. Good god. It’s almost as if I stepped into a time machine and back to 2015. Gibson, over his prior three starts, threw 18 innings and struck out 22 hitters. He gave up four runs.
  13. Are you saying the Twins are still winning? I thought they were down by 14 runs based on Gibson's performance.
  14. I don't even really know what this means but let's get back to the game.
  15. Yet he has averaged more than five innings for roughly the past 22 months. Reality does not jive with your personal bias.
  16. Ugh. Last night, I’m sure you were right here talking about how much Berrios sucks after having a MUCH worse game than Gibson did tonight. All I do is see you bitch. It’s boring. As for “stat guys”, the best teams in the league are now run by them... including the Twins. Stop whining.
  17. Yeah, that 120 OPS+ was just effing terrible. I mean, it was only better than Berrios.
  18. The guy averaged over six innings a start last season so that’s not really true.
  19. Thanos is incredibly powerful. Captain Marvel is incredibly powerful. It’d be an interesting fight but Thanos could take her. Seriously, the films did a lackluster job of explaining how powerful Thanos is without the stones. Examples: - I’d put the Surfer slightly more powerful than Captain Marvel. Thanos has beat down the Surfer a few times - Thanos once withstood the full power of the Phoenix Force, which is nigh unstoppable
  20. He generally leads off against righties. He has an .849 OPS against RHP.
  21. Damn, Garver framed the hell out of that inning. Dude has come a lonnnnnnggggggg way since last season.
  22. Thanos being alive doesn't change the need for Tony's snap and there were a bunch of ways to still require its immediacy (eg. Thanos implementing a "scorched earth" measure upon his death).
  23. Hmmm, so the showrunners are likely just burned out and want to be done. That's unfortunate. Still, they should have lobbied for a full-length season. A bunch of these problems go away if they give us four more episodes packed between the six we already have. That slows everything down considerably and allows the endgame to make more sense and feel natural instead of forced and rushed.
