2. As fans, we've done a good job of writing off Wimmers already, casting him as the next Adam Johnson or Shooter Hunt. It's way too early to do that and I reserve a small amount of hope for the kid going forward.
3. I just tried to get the Activity Feed to work on the mobile skin but it's a brand new feature to vBulletin and apparently, they haven't enabled the call to the mobile skin. I thought I could just patch in the call from the default skin but it's not working... Something is wonky there. I'll keep investigating the problem. Right now, the "What's New" icon in the mobile skin only brings up a crappy search. That's no good.
4. Damn it, I had a long post typed out and the tab crashed in my browser. Anyway, over 1/3 of the roster looks like a decent ML team. The problem is that the rest of it is complete crap. I'd also like for JR to come out and state his plans but it doesn't make any sense to do it before the deadline. You're not going to gain negotiating power by showing your hand. But after the waiver deadline, I'd like to see the front office come out and state their intentions for next season and how they plan to get there.
5. To me, it looks like he's trying to move some assets and offload future money for prospects to restock the system while maintaining a semblance of a Major League franchise. I'm not one to jump the gun and make rash judgments on plans that haven't had time to bear fruit. JR tried to build a better team this offseason, the pitching failed miserably, and now he's compensating. The real test will be this offseason to see how he spends the newly-freed money. It's hard to accurately judge his plan until he actually has a chance to do something.
6. At this point, I think a "controlled burn" (I'm full of space-related phrases this morning) makes the most sense, which is what appears to be JR's plan. If no one bites on Morneau, wait until next season. As diehard mentioned, his value will be more next season even if his performance remains steady. If you trade either Span or Willingham this season, you can offload the other next year if the team is still awful. It's going to be many years before Houston is anything close to resembling a decent baseball team and with them moving to the nasty AL West next season, it could be even longer than it appears now. The Twins are no longer a small market team. They can afford to bring in decent players every season in FA while offloading players at their peak. The Twins have a lot of hitters in the pipeline in the next three years and Mauer in his prime. To me, it doesn't make any sense to trade the entire team and punt on the next 3-4 seasons, which is essentially what posters on this forum are advocating. In 3-4 years, we'll have Mauer still eating 1/4 of the salary, only at that point he'll be in his early 30s and declining in production.
7. Considering that the Twins have been awful in two-thirds of their post-dome years, I think it has more to do with awful baseball than team construction. Also, the 2008-2010 Twins were anything but a "dome team". Those teams were full of plodding mashers (Morneau, Kubel, Cuddyer, Thome, etc.).

9. Twins Daily was a bit tricky to navigate on smartphones. While the full version is great for desktop browsing, it left something to be desired on your Android/iPhone/iPod devices. Well, that has changed. Some of you may have noticed that when browsing on your smartphone, you're automatically redirected to a new version of the site that is designed specifically for the requirements of a smaller screen. Most (if not all) of the same functionality is there, now it's just smaller and simpler to use. This skin should be automatically enabled on any Blackberry, Windows Phone, iPhone, iPod, or Android smartphone. iPad and Android tablet users should still be redirected to the full site to take advantage of the extra real estate on tablet screens. To navigate the mobile site, click on the square icon (the one with more squares in it) near the top right of the screen just to the right of the obvious-but-there-anyway text "Navigate Site". From that navigation box, you should be able to use almost any function found on the Twins Daily site. Should you ever need to view the main site again, just scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click "Full Site". If you want to go back to the mobile version, again scroll down to the bottom of the page and on the bottom left of the footer, you'll see "Visit Mobile Site" with a drop-down menu. Choose "Twins Daily Mobile" and you'll be directed back to the mobile version of the site. As with everything of this nature, the mobile Twins Daily is a work in progress. The skin has been briefly tested on an Android phone, iPhone, and iPad but given the overwhelming options out there to users today, there's no way we can test it on every browser and hardware configuration available for purchase so if you see something that's wrong and/or confusing, just let us know. We appreciate any and all feedback you might have on the skin and how to improve the experience. Comment below if you have something to say about the skin or just want to call me names. That's cool, too.

11. Indeed. It is cromulent.
12. Turn your television upside down and Blackburn looks fine.
13. I activated the theme. If you have problems with it, let me know. I only have an iPad and an Android phone handy to test it... Can't find my iPod right now so I can't test it on iPod/iPhone.
14. Damn, this team can really look pathetic some days.
15. No, you wouldn't. Hawk is ear cancer while DickBert are just a little dense.
16. Aaahhhhhhhhhhhh I accidentally turned on the Sox broadcast! My ears! My ears!
17. I'm working on it today. I may even have it up by the end of the day if things go well.
