Shuffield was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year this past season, which saw him bat .378 with 13 home runs and 16 stolen bases.
He's also a good defensive shortstop.
Another senior-sign who will save the Twins money against their bonus pool.

Twins Minor League Report (8/31): Cory Lewis is Back in 2023 Form for Wichita
It was a rough night for the Twins big league squad, and it didn't get a whole lot better in the minor leagues. But a lot still going on throughout the system. The Mighty Mussels finally got to play some ball on Saturday, though there was a delay. A big "first" home run for one of the Kernels. But if Wins matter in the minors, Wichita was the place to be!
Twins Minor League Report (8/17): Andrew Cossetti, Gabriel Gonzalez Provide the Pop
It was a tough day in the Twins minor leagues, at least if you look at Wins and Losses. I guess on Saturday, there are only Losses to look at. However, each team affiliate had a couple of very noteworthy performances, including a couple of three-hit games, several homers including one b a 2024 top pick, and the return of a young prospect.
